Need Advice - Spacing Out My Meals

I have been having this trouble on Wednesdays and Thursdays trying to space out my meals.
I am up at six and have breakfast then I go to school and am in class straight from 8 until 12
I usually have a small snack on break and eat lunch right after my last class.
Then I go to the gym for a few hours but I work at 4:30 until 8:30 and I can't eat at work. By the time I get home it is 9:30 and I am ready for bed.
I try and eat before work but I'm usually not hungry.

What do you guys think is better, eating before work and maybe trying to snack a bit while I'm there
or waiting and eating after work and just keep it light?

  • The advice I've followed for a while is: "Breakfast like a King, lunch like a Lord, and dine like a pauper". In other words you need to get the major part of your food intake during the earlier part of the day so that you can actually fuel your body during the time it's active - in the morning and afternoon particularly. I think you ought to eat before you work because then you will have the nourishment and energy to be able to work well. The problem with eating later in the evening is that a large proportion of the calories get stored as fat overnight - because your metabolism drops while you are asleep and you are just not burning as much 'fuel'. It makes sense and seems to work for me. However, there are times when I just have to eat later in the evening to be sociable or because I miss a meal or cannot get one because of my work.
If you try and follow the basic principle then you should find a routine that usually works for you.

Thats tricky I may eat after work (I eat after class), it gives you something to look forward to. Keep a healthy snack around (I always have honey roasted nuts and raisans around). Do you have a stressful job where you have to keep your energy up? If so have a little something before going tn.

    Thanks guys
My job isn't stressful; it just keeps me busy constantly.
I do try and have snacks (carrot sticks etc) but I don't always have a chance to eat them.
I will try out your guy's suggestions next Wednesday
