I've got this indian stir fry recipe:
Shred the head of cabbage. Toast about 1 tablespoon of whole mustard seeds with about a tablespoon of oil in a skillet on medium-low heat until you hear a popping noise. Add the cabbage, a little bit of water, cayenne pepper (I like hot so I add a lot) and add about a 1/2 teaspoon of tumeric. Mix and turn up the heat to medium high. You can cover it so it cooks faster, but I am usually lazy. It will be soft and crunchy in about 3-5 minutes. Serve with a squeeze of lemon or lime.
I'll eat half a head of cabbage on my own this way.
Great with grilled or roasted meat.0 -
We tend to boil (or fry, but boiling is healthier and therefore more frequent) it and then put some cayenne pepper on top.0

In Mexico we just chop it up and add lime juice, salt and pepper, its pretty common to put this in a taco stead of lettuce like they use in the states. Or you could boil it and sprinkle a bit of vinegar on it, I learned that from my Canadian boyfriend. I love cabbage, its so cheap and good!0

I like to slice it really thin and stringy and steam it. Then I eat spaghetti sauce on it.
It's also good added to soups. *LOVE* soup, so it's an easy add for me.0 -
this is not healthy... but fry it up in a bit of butter or olive oil. add some meat for flavor if you'd like. you can also mix in other veggies to add nutrients. cabbage is so0o yummy this way...0

Google cabbage soup diet...it's yummy and low fat:)0

I bought two heads because they were on sale. I shredded them in the processor and froze them in gallon zip loc bags. Later that week, I threw some in a pot and made that Cabbage Soup Diet soup with it. Delicious. Once frozen it can only be served cooked since freezing it makes it go limp. It will get limp when you cook it anyway so what the heck. Another way to cook it is to quarter it and roast it in the oven. Cut it in nice chunks and line them up on a cookie sheet. Spray with cooking spray rather than using oil to save 120 calories. Season with a little Mrs Dash and roast till browned. Enjoy.0

Not very healthy.. But the German part of me LOVES Runza! I brown ground beef with pepper and wilt in the cabbage. I could eat the filling by itself, but I put some in bread dough too... Mmmmm.... That's sounding really good! lol0
