I know someone who did it and the portions are TINY. if you eat 1/10th of a hamburger, it's probably the same size and same caloric content as the burger they have. But yes, if someone delivered food to me and all I had to do was microwave, life would be easier.

nutri system was yucky. I lost, but gained it all when I stopped the food because I still didnt know how to eat.

Wouldnt it be nice if we could have the food fairy deliver to the front door!!??

Ding-Dong.................Her you are Ms JG your steamed veggies, roasted chicken and whole grain rice is here for dinner!!

    Ahhh...heavy sigh:wink:

Nutrisystem was the only healthy way that i have ever lost weight, before now that is. The thing about ns is the portions are small, but it helped me to realize that a portion isn't a bowl full of spaghetti. The kicker for me was it doesn't include any of your fruits and veggies. So, you still have to do some work and planning to eat your meals. I didn't realize that when i ordered it for the first time, and i was thinking a month of food for $300 bucks ins't that bad if i lose weight and don't have to do anything else. But, on top of that $300, i still had to buy all the fruits and veggies, so it was definitely more than that. Plus being a vegetarian, the food wasn't all that great. By the 2nd month, i was pretty tired of it all.

I didn't gain my weight back until i got pregnant, then all hell broke loose. Which is what i am now trying to lose. Anyways, i would consider doing ns again, if it were free, but since it is not, i am on my own. You really aren't missing out!

The Nutra System Advanced wasn't too bad, but VERY expensive and the noodles tasted like rubber...I agree though, I think it can be crippling to depend on ready made foods too. "Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime."
Look at it this way, you can learn to cook healthy, and it'll taste better than those other comapnies, and have less soduim too. Plus you've learned the right way to eat and cook, and who needs them?

If your REALLY craving ice cream, go for frozen yogert, or sorbets! Costco has this yummy Island Way Sorbet that is great! They come in their natural shells. The coconut has the most cals, and its only like 174 calories, and its HUGE!! lol

Nothing wrong with 1/2 cup of icecream now and then.

Schwans!!!!!! They sell nutrisystem and Livesmart items! You can buy a few and see if you like them instead of buying a months worth of food! I love them! The delivery guy comes every 2 weeks! I buy frozen wild salmon fillets!

I appreciate the desire for convenience foods, life would be so much simpler, but LOOK at what you've accomplished so far, all on YOUR OWN!!!! WOW! 46 lbs? That's incredible!! What other proof could you need that the way you're doing it now is JUST FINE!!! ???

Keep up the fabulous work; for the kind of money these people want for these meals (incomplete ones at that!) you can buy ALL the food you need and fix it yourself! Don't make someone else rich and propogate this 'fast fix' society that's so pervasive!!
