Hi I just found this sight, and thought I'd give it a try. I tried to put my picture on,but didn't know how to do it..... I'm not very good on computers....So I have alot of weight to lose,at least eighty pounds or more.I have been heavy all my life, and it has taken it's toll on me.My legs hurt all the time, and I work five day's a week, and I'm on my feet the whole time. I'm married to a real nice guy,and he doesn't care that I'm heavy, but I'm just sick of it.So I'll give this a shot and pray for the best. So I really don't know how this sight work's .so any feed back would be helpfull. Thanks from Sunnyday.

Hi Sunnday, I'm also from Ohio. I have a guy as well who likes me the way I am but I'm not so sure I like me the way I am. So, putting up a pic is easy, just go to "My Home" and go to your "Settings" tab and you should be able to figure it out from there. Good Luck on the weight loss.0

After reading your post, that sounds like me, exactly. I've been heavy my whole life and after having my 3rd child, I've decided it's now or never. I've lost all the baby weight (18lb) plus 7 more so it's going ok. I just had the baby June 11. I just found this site last week. I haven't posted yet, but enjoy hearing the success stories. I'm originally from Ohio, so I had to read your post. I've got about 80lb to lose as well. My husband is great as well and has never said anything negative about my body. I know he loves me just as I am, but I'm not loving myself this big. I currently weigh 233 and I want to get down to at least 180. 160 would be an absolute dream, we'll see. I just take one day at a time. Maybe we can travel this weight loss journey together. Good luck!0

:flowerforyou: Welcome to MFP! If you use the food logging diary and the exercise diary you can't help but lose weight. I try to log my food the day before, it's really the best way to stay within your calorie goal. Also, if you exercise MFP adds those calories back to what you can eat for the day. Some will say don't eat the exercise calories, some do. You just have to see what works for you. I actually eat all but 100 or so of my exercise calories. That way if I under calculated a food somewhere I call it even. It's working for me, I've lost 37 pounds on MFP since July '08.
Good luck on your weight loss!0 -
Hi drnwell1,
I started out in August of 2005 weighing 235 pounds. It's the heaviest I've ever been and I'm only 5'6".
It took me a couple of years to lose 35 on my own and then I put back on 20 pounds. When I started MFP lat year I weighed 215 and I'm now at 178. What has really helped me is being consistent with logging my food every day. It's a pain sometimes but when I don't that's when I start going the wrong direction. Do like you said, take one day at a time and you will get there!:flowerforyou:0 -
Ohio here too.
Yep, this works. Just fill it out correctly, log your food honestly, try to stay close to the allowances and get a little exercise. I do elliptical and some freeweights, my wife likes to walk. It's all good. I've lost almost 60 and D has lost over 40 - so we're down over 100 pounds since Mid-January and just doing super.
You've come to the right place. Good luck, have fun. See ya' at the skinny-ball.0 -
