Best brand of bacon?

I bought some thick-cut bacon at the meat shop, and it was too fatty and didn't get crisp enough for my taste. What brand of bacon do you use?

Oh and turkey bacon is an abomination. I only want the legit stuff.

Hormel Black Label Low Sodium bacon. It's delicious. However, I just love bacon in general.

I have been buying butterball turkey bacon but I am not crazy about it. it gets chewy, not crispy. i have heard that center cut bacon isn't as terrible as regular bacon but haven't bought any yet.

Oscar Meyer thick cut! But it's on sale like every three months so we get Gwaltney hardwood bacon.

I get Oscar Meyer - pre-cook - just nuke and get really nice crispy bacon. You can take out just a few pieces and store the remaining.

I posted on my profile one time about desiring a man wrapped in bacon. So I'm going to say THAT would be the best kind.

    bacon isnt branded.

    bacon is bacon.

its thick slabs of pig cut into strips, ready to be fried in its own fatty juices.

anything other then that... isnt bacon.

I rarely buy bacon, but when I do, the local butcher is the best place to go... he cuts it as thick or thin as you like. (I like mine really thick)

I found Hormel Uncured Bacon. No added nitrites. I put it in the oven for about 20 mintues (no pre-heat) maybe a little less and it's pretty good. I really like it. So does my man. It used to be Oscar Mayer Center Cut. But trying to cut out as many toxins as I can. I used to cook it really crispy but don't like it like that anymore.

If I had access to a butcher I would go there. Hoping to find some local pastured hog that I can get shipped to me.

You couldn't pay me to eat turkey bacon.

My grandfather gets the best bacon from the butcher.... thats the best kind...so i guess... just bacon, I find the stuff you buy in the store very salty - i eat it because bacon is awesome but I prefer right from the butcher...

I also buy the Butterball Turley Bacon. 25 calories per slice and it tastes great on my breakfast sandwiches. I will agree though... definitely chewy not crispy.
