anybody have proof that the scale doesn't matter?

I'm starting to think that I should focus less about the scale. I'm 5'5 140lbs and I've been hovering around this weight for sometime now but I'm still losing inches and my stomach is getting a lot flatter and my legs are tightening up. Does anybody have any pictures they could share/ or success stories with focusing less on the scale and on your overall appearance.

For example, I was at my lowest 128 this past summer.. and 140 today but I feel so much more toned/smaller than I did in the summer.
