How often do you update your Diet/Fitness settings?

I update mine about once a week so that I dont lose too many calories from my goal all at once. I started with a calorie goal of 2010 per day and now it is at 1940 per day.

    Same. That's when MFP tells me to, so I go with it.

    I haven't as of yet, but by your responses, i'm guessing I should. Can someone give me a basic explanation on what the point is.

    After you lose weight you base daily intake goes down. MFP will only change you base daily calorie when you go to settings and update your diet/fitness profile. all you have to do is click save changes with out changing anything else. that way after you lose 50 lbs your efforts continue..


    Hope that helps.(i stumbled upon this when I was curious one night and my calories jumped down 30 calories)

    MFP never told me to change it or to update even after i lost almost 20lbs
