I have my own little container garden outside my apartment door and I love it! They all needed some trimming today (to stimulate new growth) and now I have a plateful of chives, rosemary, and cilantro to use for dinner tonight. Got any ideas?

I would throw the cilantro and chives in with some greens for a salad and use the rosemary with some chicken!
I love cilantro and often use it instead of lettuce in tacos!

I like chives mixed in mashed potatoes, especially with a little low fat sour cream or plain yogurt, I put rosemary in roasted veggies and cilantro in fresh salsa or almsot any mexican food or thai food

Mmmm, sounds so yummy! I do love chicken and rosemary. And cilantro is one of my favorites. Guess it's time to make salsa

rosemary goes really well with potatoes <3 or in soup/stirfry.

chives are delish over freshly scrambled eggs or in a sandwich/salad

cillantro (isn't that coriander?) perfect for putting into a curry!! or make a carrot & coriander soup <3 DELISH!
  • I'd add them to tomatoes and veg and eat with pasta :)

Coriander is the seed form, and cilantro is the leafy form.

Maybe it's a different country thing? I am in BC, canada and that's how I have always distinguished them, especially in recipes.
Whatever you call it....my absolute favourite herb...I eat it like lettuce my family thinks I am wierd.

I always thought cilantro and coriander were interchangeable names. Ah well, it's delicious either way :).

Thank you guys for the ideas! I need them to hurry up and grow back now so I can try all these, lol

when I was younger I thought cilantro tasted like metal, but I love it now. I can't wait until it warms up permanently here in WNY we put in a nice sized herb garden every summer
