    Some stories are so refreshing!
Just want to throw out this thought: I believe your NSV was a whole lot more than not drinking.

    Your non-scale victories were:
realizing you were in "stinkin' thinkin",
choosing not to wallow in it,
choosing a positive action (running) to counter those downward spiralling thoughts,
changing your own attitude (kissing your wifey),
    and sharing it with others.

All part of the AA program!

(PS: We all benefit from these kind of posts~ helps me take stock of where i am and do a moral inventory too! Thank you!)

I am so, so proud of you. I've had some substance abuse issues in the past, and getting out of that pattern is difficult. To channel that into something healthy is quite commendable. Keep up the hard work.

Thats wonderful!!! Great job!! I have found that walking, running and even hiking helps me to deal with stress and also helps me "pound" out the frustrations that life throws at me from time to time. I dont even know you and I can say...I am sooo proud of you for not choosing to drink!! It shows how much you have grown as a person!! Once again, great job!!
