I have been going from 168lbs up to 172lbs for 2 months now and getting very frustrated. So I found an older picture of myself today from my heaviest of 224lbs. I am currently at 168lbs.

This is May 2010. I am on the far right.

And here I am today with my youngest daughter after our bike ride.

I still have at least 30lbs to go, but looking at the old picture today made see just how far I have come!

Wow, you have done so well. You have lost 52 lbs, that's not to be sneezed at.
I have been stuck on the same weight for 6 weeks so I am feeling your pain. Hang in there the last lot will come off and in the mean time enjoy what you have achieved, it's wonderful.
    You'll get there.

Great job! As much as I hate the camera, at least it provides proof of what you've accomplished. Best of luck on the rest of your journey!

I agree too, you are doing great! It is hard though when you seem to hit a plateau. But now you have re-focused and are ready to get it going on again. Keep it up, you are an inspiration to many of us.
  • You are doing fantastic. Photos always help. I have been going up and down the same 3lbs as well. I hung up photos from before to help me too. Keep up the hard work!!

You look great, looking at your face in the two pictures you can definitely see the weight loss. I had the same problem a few weeks ago and like you after putting the two pictures together really let me know it's working! (Even more then seeing the numbers on the scale go down!)

And would you have been out riding with your daughter 56 pounds ago? That's quite a change and you'll reach that final goal!

I'm with you, but I created my own Before and After folder on my computer. It's helpful. I'm down 33 pounds in 3 years, which doesn't sound like a lot, but it makes a difference in pictures and in clothes.

Still have 70-100 left to go!

Excellent! Keep on with what you are doing. The most difficult challenge you will face is not that far away. That is, keeping those high risk FAT POUNDS off for the rest of your life.

I hope you are wise enough to KEEP YOUR DAILY FOOD JOURNAL and EXERCISE JOURNAL going ...for the rest of your life. I did not do that for 73 years and ended up having to go through all the pain and suffering over & over, then over again until >>>> 495 days ago.

    Add me if you wish.

    Claire :)

Hey, that's fantastic! Maybe the key to the next 30 lbs. is a new challenge for yourself. I see you bike ride (awesome,) have you ever done a triathlon? Or just a bicycle race? My personal goal is to get fit enough to run a 5K. I've got much, much further to go than you have, though. Hopefully, I'll be fit enough to do it by the end of the summer.

    Good luck!!!

No, I just ride bike for fun, and not often because honestly I find it really hurts my butt. LOL My goal is also to run a 5K! I reached my longest run without walking today at 1.5 miles! So I am getting there. It's hard though for sure and I can't seem to run outside! The longest I have made it outside is 1/4 mile! It is so frustrating. It's just SO much easier on a treadmill!

    Thanks everyone!
