Need help with healthy high calorie foods and snacks, with little to NO fat or protein, I'm always going over on fat and protein, but I can't seem to eat all my calories, specially my "earned" calories. Thanks

    Hi,

Can you open your diary? That makes it easier to offer suggestions. Thanks!

I always go over protein too. MFP sets it way too low for me.

When I think of high-calorie, low-fat, low protein foods I think of carbs, carbs, carbs: pasta, rice, fruit/fruit juice, bread, fruit on the bottom yogurt, low-fat or nonfat pudding, low-fat or nonfat dairy, cereal, cereal bars, etc.
  • Check out some of these shake recipes. Hopefully you can find a suitable substitute.

Very important statement. I would not try to lower my protein if I were you, because MFP has a very conservative daily allowance of protein and most experienced MFPers would recommend you try to eat more. It keeps you full longer and gives you more bang for your caloric buck than simple carbs.

To lower your fat intake, choose lean meats and seafood, reduced fat dairy, and watch your use of oils/dressings/gravy/butter.

I do have some carbs left over most of the time...but my calories, I usually have a lot left over.

Anyone else have foods you like that are healthy in calories and a few carbs, but little to NO protein? I need more calories!!!
