I'm doing that at work today too. I have the usual fruits and veggies on there. New for me is ground turkey, I have never tried it before. I might look at turkey sausages as well.

    Greek yogurt
    Fresh berries

    Baby carrots
    Sugar snap peas
    Red/orange/yellow bell peppers
    Hummus

    String cheese
    Apples
    Almond butter

    Raw almonds
    Walnuts

Popcorn (the bulk stuff, pop it in a brown paper bag in your microwave, cheaper & better for you)
Brown paper bags if you don't have any
    Coconut oil

    Those are my go-to snacks!

This wasn't your question but....have you seen the app, GTracker? It is great, you do your menus, add recipes and link the ingredients and they will automatically add to your grocery list. anyway a great way to keep track of new ideas and easy way to make grocery list. HUGS

Here's some things that are always on my grocery list:

Sundried tomato chicken sausage (so yum!)
    Egg whites
    Ezekiel bread
    Greek yogurt
    Almonds
    Quinoa
    Strawberries

    Enjoy!

I agree with lots of the above. The Greek yogurt (plain fat free) is a delicious substitute for sour cream. Great with frozen mixed berries and a hint of honey.

I'm trying to broaden my veggie horizon. I dislike canned veggies and my Hubby really doesn't eat any veggies, so it is a challenge. What I have found out is that I LOVE roasted veggies. Broccoli, asparagus, brussel sprouts. So easy. Just trim like you would if you were going to steam them, put in a pyrex or metal cake pan, drizzle with a little olive oil (tsp or so depending on how much you are cooking), shake around to coat and sprinkle with a little kosher or sea salt or any herb you like. Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until they are as soft or in my case, crunchy browned as you like them! Totally different taste.

Ground chicken is a good substitue for ground beef. Texture is more similar than ground turkey. Just look for the leaner stuff. Some of the cheap stuff is loaded with fat.

If you have kids, or just for you, trying using the "Alphabet method". Start with the letter "A" and pick out a new fruit of veggie to try that starts with that letter. Asparagus, artichoke, aragula (sp?), anjou pear, apple (new variety?)... you get the picture. Yesterday I bought Jicama and chopped it like french fries and ate it raw with fresh salsa. Has a sweet, crisp, juicy taste and texture.

Also, the chicken sausages are very good (Johnsonville Chipotle Monterey Jack are my favs). But the sodium is pretty high on these. Jimmy Dean turkey crumbles are great in an omlet.

Egg whites in the carton are a must. I use them almost every day and they are so easy to bake with.

Check out Devin Alexander's recipes. Healthy decadence. She walks the walk and and transformed some amazing recipes.

    Good luck on grocery shopping!

And I love to keep some feta or blue cheese in the fridge- a small sprinkling can do wonders for salads or on a piece of celery. I also take a slice of tomato, place a basil leaf on it and put some of the cheese crumbles on it. yummy!!
