Well I got it back from being "repaired" and it lasted fine.. for about 3 weeks, then the same problem! I sent it BACK for another repair last week and demanded the replace the whole thing.

Damn it, just bought one yesterday! Hope I don't have a similar problem. I am posting this for future reference (hopefully I don't need it!) Thanks!

    I'm having this same issue..
  • Check the battery. I'm researching them and have seen lots of people say that you need to change the battery if you start getting funny readings.

I changed the battery in both the watch and the chest strap transmitter and still this morning it was fine for 10 minutes of workout and then said that my HR was 220 when I was stretching. Then it was 00. This has been happening for a week before I changed the batteries. I am ready to buy another one because this is starting to effect my workouts...ugh!

I gave up after sending it back for a THIRD time. I bought a Bodymedia Fit Core and just use that. You can also buy a digital display if you want a real-time display of calories burned.

    I give up on HRMs.

I'm on my third Polar with the same problem every time, luckily it is still on warranty, so I'll get another one that will break in 6 months..yay.

  • I am on my second FT4 with this problem. Works beautifully for a couple of months then BAM startes to give crap readings and be frozen/ glitchy.

I have tried many of the suggested solutions and have even changed the transmitter battery. Left the battery out for 5 minutes to "reset" it. Nothing is working.

I am on the horn with polar to have them replace the strap and transmitter.

This third one better work or I will be switching brands.

It is a real shame too because when it works, it is fantastic.

It can sometimes act like that when the batteries need changing
