I've started working out at the gym doing classes and I'm quickly finding that with all that jumping around, my shoes don't provide enough support!
Which shoes are the est for doing classes at the gym (I've recently found out that there's a difference between running shoes and training shoe!)
Classes I typically take:
Sun: Zumba
Mon: Zumba
Tue: Body Attack
Wed: Body Pump
Th: Body Pump OR Body Step

You definitely don't want a running shoe for that kind of activity. You need a cross trainer.
My favorite is the new balance minimus cross trainer. I use it in boxing and weight lifting. Provides good lateral support as well. There is NO arch support, and little heel rise though, so keep that in mind.0 -
Nike Free TR20

No real answer here...
Go to a shoe store and try on some shoes until you find the one that fits the best and feels the best.
It may be a running shoe, it may be a cross-trainer shoe..0 -
It will definitely not be a running shoe.0

depends what feels good for you.
probably some type of crosstrainer.
just go try some shoes on and bounce around. you might look silly but you'll know what works for you0 -
