Going over suggested calorie intake

I have gone over my calorie intake for the past 2 days by 500. Will this affect the rest of my good days? My suggested calorie intake is 1460 daily. I'm having a hard time staying focused with a husband that loves to eat. I also take Lipo-B shots weekly that speeds up my metabolism. Is this helping me or hurting me? Please be honest.

No clue on the lipo... but if your over eating by 500 chances are you will maintain and not lose or gain... i give myself a cheat day once a week so i don;t over eat throughout the week, it helps because i eat what i want as much as i want without logging and it just helps me as i'm a massive food lover!.xx

    good luck!
  • If you've set your goal to lose a pound a week, MFP gives you a calorie deficit of 500 calories from what you would need to maintain your weight. For example right now I have mine set to lose a pound a week, so MFP tells me to eat 1510 calories. I can eat anywhere from 1510 - 2010 without gaining weight, and indeed will STILL lose a bit of weight as long as I keep it under 2010.

I went over my normal calories by 1500 and 1000 calories last weekend, and ended up losing 900g (about 2 pounds) this week. Think of them as spike/free days - your body (normally) loves a free day every now and then, and the extra calories shouldn't cause any problems with losing weight. Just make sure to drink your water.
