Yes, I read it and the second book. Heard they were thinking of making it into a movie, at least the rights were sold. Don't know how that will get released based on the subject matter and explicit things!!! Not the best written book, won't go down in history as great literature, but damn, it was a fun read!!0

Read first and second books, there's a third I think. Got really boring TBH after the first book. Not sure what's the hype cos there are so many other better authors around on the same or similar subject matter.0

I heard about it on the Today Show, but haven't downloaded it yet. Plan to!0

I'm on chapter 4 of the first book. I like it. I think Ana is hilarious. I can see myself saying the stuff she does. I'm enjoying this book alot. Oddly my son is who saw and read all the hype on it and said, mom - you oughta read this. Glad he told me about it. LOL0

Wow this book is getting popular fast!! Yes I'm reading it0

I read it, because I naively though that if something has a lot of hype, it must be good. (I made the mistake with "Twilight", and I apparently never learned my lesson.)
It's basically "Twilight" with a lot of abusive sex that happens with the idea that the female character can "fix" the male. And there aren't any sparkly vampires, but let's be honesty, who misses those? It's like the character read "5 Love Languages", and decided to become this submissive, ridiculous character that has no personality because he's there.
I don't know, I guess if there's an adult audience that digs the ridiculous codependent relationship in "Twilight", there will be one that digs it in this book. I did not, but unlike Whitney Houston, I'm not every woman.0 -
I read it when it was Twilight fan fiction.0
-
Just finished the 3rd book. I really enjoyed them and compaired to most erotic fiction, quite well written.0
-
I have read all three books (when it was fanfiction - so with different names). Once it got deeper into the psychological side of the characters, especially Christian/Edward's, I enjoyed it.0
-
"Oh my!" I just finished the second last night...love it and all my girlfriends are reading it too.0
-
porn for bored housewives.........I dont need to read my porn,I prefer it on screen. But if I was pressed to pick a book of this nature I would have to go with The story of O0
-
It would be interesting to know how many of the women that are all gaga over this book think that if their husbands watch porn its cheating and/or disrespectfull im sure a good number.:laugh:0
-
I read all three books and loved them. My husband even read them.0
-
I read it. All three. Good series. I am waiting for everyone I know who is reading it to be done so I can talk about the end.0

Lol, who cares?!
Anyway, I started the first book but stopped reading it as I couldn't get into it.0 -
I just finished the first book last night. I was very captivated by the characters and the "forbidden love" and the "dark past" themes. Very entertaining, page turners. The book is often compared to Twilight and the leading male and female do remind me a lot of that series.
I agree with some of the criticism that the author overuses some of the phrases "blushed, bit lip, twtichy palms" Also annoying that the editor didn't take out the British vernacular since all of the characters are American "ex. Pram, Cookery Book, etc)0 -
Read the first one and now on chapter 20 of the second. I downloaded it onto my playbook (that way nobody know I'm reading smut!) I like the books, easy fun read.0
-
Heard alot of hype about it from a bunch of ladies who were reading it....found out it has porn like situations and apparently my cousin says that the stuff that I read is much raunchier than this series. So i'm skipping it LOL0
-
Oh yes, and getting alot more exercise with my hubby if ya know what I mean! Any way you can burn calories ladies!!!! LOL0

I just find it funny, all the women I know that are all nuts about this book are the same ones that consider porn cheating which furthers my opinion that most women are hypocrites
ETA: if you didnt care you wouldnt have quoted me,you would have ignored what I said and moved on like everyone that commented after me,you must have cared a little:laugh:0 -
