April Ironman Challenge (open group)

Welcome new and returning triathletes! Since rosebarnalice is mia (hopefully back soon), i will start this for April......

The challenge is to complete Ironman Triathlon mileage in the 30 days of April
--Running/ Walking 26.2 miles
--Biking 112 miles
--Swimming 2.4 Miles

We'll use this forum all month to log and report our mileage. You can log daily or weekly-- whatever keeps you motivated!

You may modify your mileage goals to suit your specific circumstances (e.g., no bike, no pool access, etc.) but you must SET and declare those goals at the beginning of the month, and it must still be a combination of running/walking, biking, and swimming.

    Whoop, love this group! im back!

    Targets:

    Swim: 3 miles
    Bike: 140 miles
    Run: 60 miles

    I know im going to make these targets this month, these are by far the biggest target so far, but i know i can do it :)

    Ill kick it off with my last two days running.

    1/4 Run 7.9
    2/4 Run 6.2

    Swim: 0
    Bike: 0
    Run: 14.1

    last month sucked. i only made my biking goal, so here goes....

    Swim 2.4 miles (3.84 km)
    Bike 125 miles (200 km)
    Run 62.5 miles (100 km)

    I lost track last month, but met my running and biking mileage. Didn't get anywhere with swimming, so I'm going to leave that at the basic level and see if I can actually get in a pool this month!

    So far in April, I've run 6 miles, and biked 10.

    yay! back for april!

    Goals for April:
    Swimming: 6.0 miles
    Biking: 50 miles
    Running/walking: 20 miles

    Lowering my run goal. I seem to have a metatarsal 3 stress fracture in my right foot...so I'm taking this week off of running to try not to make it worse...hope it helps. I hate to take off for a whole week because I'm really starting to get into a groove with it. Oh well...better safe than sorry.

    4/2: Biked 12.8 miles.
