I am a mother of two ,I have a 3 1/2 year old son and an almost 10 week old son! With my first son I was 17lbs over weight going into the pregnancy. I gained 31lbs and lost 32lbs by the time he was 8 weeks old. But over time gained it back. I did P90X but lasted 14 days losing 14lbs. Going into my second pregnancy I was 34lbs over weight. I gained 39lbs during my second pregnancy and so far I have lost 32lbs and he will be 10 weeks this Sunday! I have done nothing to lose the weight. It just came off. I still need to lose 41lbs to be at the healthy weight for my height, 5'5" and that is my goal to start.. 41lbs. However, I have been eating poorly. Its crazy taking care of a needy/extremely busy toddler and a needy newborn ( I exclusively breastfeed)! Quick and easy grab foods are convenient. I think today was my rock bottom!! I ate Burger King ( I honestly, never eat fast food cause it makes me sick!) and I feel terrible still, it was so greasy. I came home and had a few sugar cookies to top it off. Yuk.. I know. I deiced that's it, I am done. I need to do something. I fed my son and passed him off to dad. Put on my yoga pants and nikes.. I hit the pavement. I was seriously only able to run for 5 minutes!! Wow am I out of shape :( I continued to walked as fast as I could up hill and back down. So I was moving for a total of 30 minutes.

I am wondering if there are any other post partum moms on here? Where are you at the your work outs? What are you doing for work out? My plan is to run/walk fast for 30 minutes every day to start. After a week I am going to start P90X again! I felt amazing doing those work outs. MY problem is staying focused and doing it every single day!! But I am gonna try this time, and I am trying with ll I have! I have 2 boys now and my oldest has SO much energy. It is important for me to be in shape so I can keep up and of course be healthy! I want to set a healthy example for my boys!

I have NO idea what I was supposed to say on here? This is my first time lol :)

Hi, I am the mom of 2 year old twins. Its tough but you can do it. I had to find a way to make at lest my meal planning a priority. I make my food and eat it before I get the babies up in the am and after nap. That is at lest two meals where I am not just grabbing on the run. That was a good starting point and I went from there. Little changes have big results :) Feel free to add me.

Don't be so hard on yourself. 10 week olds are no walk in the park. Meal plan, cook and freeze, only buy healthier alternatives so you won't be tempted to cheat. Consider wearing your baby on your walks - the extra weight helps, and your LO would be happy too. Consider adding something like Pilates to your workout - the core work will help you out in general, and will help specifically with the post partum tummy. Each day, do a little more or better than you did the previous day. Set achievable goals. You can do it!

This site can help with meal planning. http://www.foodonthetable.com/ You can choose where you shop, it will meal plan around your guidelines and sales, show you recipes, and put together a shopping list around your meals (you need to buy X amount of Y for making Z). Right now, you can get free recipes (forever, I think) with the code SPRINGFREE

I have a son who is almost 7mos old. I gained 27lbs during pregnancy. I thought the weight would just come off after I had Owen! I exercised all through my pregnancy and have never had an issue with my weight. I have only lost 10lbs so far and Owen weighed 8lbs! I started the Depo- for birth control and I really think that that has slowed my weight loss. I also realized I was eating wayyy too many calories- I realized that from joining this site last week. I have cut down my calories- so we'll see what happens!
