i would like some suggestions about foods for sale at tradr joes that are cheaper than most other places. for example, almonds. trader joes had a huge bag for like 4 bucks when i cant get almonds at the grocery store for less than 7. stuff like that. what products do they offer that are cheaper? thanks so much!!!!!!!
besides their wines...i already plan to stock up
i should add preferably if you could suggest something without wheat? because i have to keep gluten free and the sound of those prezels is making my mouth water...and my eyes....lol

I think a lot of their produce is very inexpensive. I also like the bagged broccoli slaw, the frozen chili lime chicken burgers, all their frozen fruits (VERY inexpensive) and vegetables.0

I'm a big fan of their PB filled pretzels0

Romaine hearts, baby spinach, grape tomatoes, mushrooms, carrots, salad dressing (the spicy peanut vinaigrette is so good and has 35 cal and 2 grams of fat per tablespoon), dry whole wheat pasta, jarred sauces, yogurt, almond milk, tofu.
One thing that I've found isn't cheaper is canned beans. Brands like Bushes go on sale for less at the grocery store and they have reduced sodium varieties available. Also, fruit is sometimes cheaper at other stores (with the exception of bananas and bags of frozen fruit - these are both cheaper at TJ).0 -
Balsamic vinegar
I dont remember size or price, but they have a juge jar for half the price of a small jar at walmart/
Balsamic vinegar is good, but I put it in a pot onsimmer or lower and reduce it to a balsamic glaze.
30 calories per TBS
Great salad dressing without any oil.
Great on fish, pork, chicken, broccolil . . . .0 -
Grilled Eggplant with Spicy Tahini Sauce for Lunch on the go (in the grab and go section)
Spicy Hummus Dip
Sesame Soy Ginger Vinaigrette
Air Popped White Cheddar Popcorn
Veggie Chips
Chicken and Veggie Potstickers
Better and Peanut Butter
And of course, all their veggies and fruits are always great. That's a given.0 -
I get the Organic eggs , sprouted grain bread, Hummus is super cheap like $179 or something like that.
they have greek yogurt for $.99cents.
all the salads are like $1.99 a bag.. Frozen green beans for $1.99 the organic ones are only $2.99 i think
Peanut butter with flax seeds in it. $2.79 or regular natural peanut butter for $189 or around that.
They have some Natural chicken drumbsticks for $1.99lb
try the black beans and quinoa tortilla chips. out of this world
the salmon burgers are delish as well.
the extra virgin oilve oil is $5.99.
ohh and Soy Chorizo at $1.99 makes some killer black beans and rice!
hope this helps a little..0 -
salmon and steak! Also sliced turkey and hummus0

Organic sauces, Almond milk, organic broths (like chicken and veggie), some cheeses, organic no-salt peanut butter are all cheaper at TJs than my grocery stores.0

Almond, coconut and soy milk are all cheaper at TJ.0

freezer section, pick up their sliced frozen bell peppers I believe it's the menage a trio because there are red, yellow and green bell peppers in there, 1.69 a bag they last a long time in the freezer and are so easy to defrost an add to any meal. Bell peppers are ridiculously expensive these days.0

I get so many great things at Trader Joe's for less than the grocery store. Bagged butter lettuce, hothouse cucumbers, canned artichoke hearts (in water), honey, agave sweetener, whole-wheat couscous, Israeli couscous, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, nuts, wine, brie, and frozen artichoke hearts.0

Most things are cheaper and better quality! I love TJ & work for their competitor, haha! Eggs, Milk, cheese, frozen veggies, fresh fruit & veggies, israeli couscous, salsas, hummus, pasta, potstickers, sausages, flowers (i know its not food, but its nice to have). Theyre bread & tortillas go bad quick, so unless your going to eat right away, stay away. Theyre meats are good quality (but expensive)0
