So I have a dreaded urinary tract infection that kept me up all night. Was able to get antibiotics this morning, and while I am exhausted from sleep deprivation, want to go to the gym, but also thinking I don't want to jossle the body around and let the medicine do its thing.

Anybody have thoughts on this? Give it a day or no off the gym?

I would stay home. No need to add extra stress to the body

I would sleep. Sleep is very important with weight loss too.

Take a day of rest. Listen to your body.

Do you feel better? Do you think you can work out? If you feel better but not feeling 100%, maybe just go for a walk. If you are still feeling bad, take a night off and rest. Your body needs to rest and since you lost a lot of sleep last night, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a day off. Stay in your calorie goal and take the night off if you feel you need to. I have taken a day off before, stayed in my calorie limit and still lost weight. Hope you feel better soon.

My friend gets these pretty frequently...every 6-8 months or so. A few weeks ago she had one while we had our Pe class and it really affected her. Course she hadn't yet gone to get her medicine but still. I would wait a day or so. As long as you eat right while you take off for it you wont be hurting your weighloss plan any.

    Thanks all.

Yeah I thought I was better yesterday (after thing OTC pills for it) so I went to kickboxing and ran on the treadmill (and DEFINITELY skipped spinning class) but last night symptoms returned.

I've been drinking so much water too that I am sure running and jumping around would be annoying too. Just glad I'm on the antibiotics now.

    Horrible things, these infections!!
