Hi there:) I'm very much under my calorie goal right now, but where it says fat, i'm -18. Since I'm 700 calories below my limit, I certainly plan on eating more, but can't think of many snacks without much fat.
I'd love to hear your ideas and suggestions:)
Thanks!

Feel free to look at my diary; I tend to be very low in fat yet I eat a ton.

eating fat doesnt make you fat, eating too many calories does. The only reason you need to count fat is to make sure your eating healthy and to make sure your getting enough of it on a daily basis.

Low-fat yogurt, most "healthy" salty snacks: pretzels and popcorn, veggies and fruits, cereal, or anything high in lean protein.

Was just adding that part when you posted. I agree but when your eating at a 700 calorie deficit like the OP. Its hard to eat too much fat and also hard to eat enough.

Slice up an apple and spread it with powdered peanut butter. 2 Tablespoons of powdered peanut butter is only 45 calories and 7 grams of fat. With an apple, it's a healthy 100 - 120 calorie snack (depending on the size of the apple). I use the Just Great Stuff powdered pb - Wegman's carries it! Trader Joe's also carried their brand which is good.

Thanks for your reply:) I just thought it wasn't very healthy to be eating more fat than what my food tracker said I was supposed to. I've found many low-fat/ nonfat snacks from previous posts, so that really helped me.

Mmm, I love greek yogarts! I just had a rasberry one :D
Still have a 600-something calorie deficit, so I'll probably have something else like fruit later.

Looking at your food diary, you're really not over your fat budget. I sincerely doubt that the chocolate chip cookie you ate with 127 calories has 54 grams of fat. That's almost impossible. So I think you're good, your numbers are just off.

You were probably looking at the "calories from fat", not the actual fat content.

Jello Fat Free Chocolate Pudding... mixed with skim milk and a scoop of whey isolate protein powder (y)

have your snack tonight... put the rest in an ice cube tray for sweet frozen "protein bites" when you need a little extra one day!

If you're not worried about sodium then Beef Jerky is good for high protein and low fat.

You are right to avoid fat, cause it carries a higher caloric amount per gram than both carbs and protein. You get fuller eating things lower on fat and higher in carbs and protein.

Thanks:) You're probably right. I do question if my food tracker is right, because sometimes I can't believe how many calories of what I ate had, or how many grams of fat something else had.

kale chips, there's a recipe on the hungry girl website. but really really easy to customize. take some kale (I prefer baby kale but it works with any dark leafy green), spritz lightly with oil spray (whatever you prefer, I'm using coconut spray oil right now), sprinkle with any seasoning you like (bbq is awesome, curry powder, tex-mex, black pepper, tiny bit of sea salt, etc), broil for 4-6 minutes (watch closely they burn fast but are still yummy). voila! naturally low-fat, low-calorie, high fiber, and crispy yummy.

Have you ever tried the cheddar cheese flavored mini rice cakes? Aldi sells them and some other pretty good "fit n active" type low cal, low fat snacks. good luck!!
