Ab Ripper X

Hey, I was just curious about what time is best to do Ab Ripper X from P90x. I did the Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps workout and my arms were so sore and I was so exhausted I fell asleep right after completing my workout. I was wondering, is it better to do Ab Ripper X right after the workout (though I will not be able to do many reps) or is it okay to wait until the next day to complete Ab Ripper X, when I know I can give 100%?

doesn't really matter, just don't do it everyday. Leave at least a full day rest between. I do it twice/week on cardio days.0

Not sure about the exact time, but I follow the P90X Classic plan somewhat. I usually do it right after the strength routines0

I do my P90X at lunch at work so I have to wait until I get home to do the Ap Ripper so I don't go over my lunch hour. The guys here do it before the workout and skip the bonus and cool down. Don't think it really matters as long as you do it0

Ok I was just wondering because I usually work out at night so sometimes after a strength workout, I am so sore it is hard for me so I just wanted to be sure if I did it the next day that it would still be alright.0

I do mine right after working out...mainly because I be too tired to turn off the dvd and it comes on automatically right after the strength workouts. Its funny, I'm too lazy to turn off the tv so I'll do the ab ripper instead. :laugh:0

Mornings or anytime on an empty stomach should do.0 -
I force myself to do it right after the main workout. I'm already sweaty, may as well just finish it off. 3 days a week is plenty though. Ab Ripper X was invented by the Devil.0

I am almost to my 60 day mark in P90X. I usually do my strength training in the morning and Ab Ripper X at night when I get home from work. Sometimes I will even do Ab Ripper X the next day. So far I have gotten great results with this program even with changing up the scheduled routine. I figure I'm okay as long as I get it done. I would rather do Ab Ripper X later on because I'm usually exhausted right after strength training. If I wait to do it, I can give it my 110% rather than maybe 50%.

I usually do it right after the strength workout since I'm already sweaty and warmed up. Some days, though, I don't have time to do it right after and I do it later in the evening after I put my daughters to bed. I think you're fine doing it anytime, as long as you do it.0

True
I do it right after. Each week it gets easier and easier0 -
Got to do it today after Legs and back DVD workout...0

Do it in the morning before your P90X workouts. If you do it after Chest and Back, you have already worn your abs out from all of the pull ups and pushups.....
AB Core plus is also a good DVD to switch in for ABRIPPERX0 -
That's a great tip Keels thanks!! I will have to remember that cause after Chest and Back I was very tired but still managed the AB Ripper X but was wondering if I was doing good form or not.0

Also, I was wondering, if I do end up doing Ab Ripper in the morning, should I do it before or after eating?0
-
I would do it before...or have a protein shake 30 mins before working out.0

Okay I am going to get one of my protein shakes, drink that, then in about an hour I will do Ab Ripper, thanks!0
