Hi guys!

I've been using MFP since May 2011 (Thanks to my good friend who's also on this site, nnylee), and I have lost 20 lbs! I'm so happy, and I want to share my progress with you! The old me felt self-conscious all the time, doesn't wear make up, and always mad at myself for eating. But now I'm happy and energetic!

Age: 23
Height: 5'7
SW: 154 lbs (since highschool... :( )
CW: 133 lbs
GW: 125 lbs

My inspirations are: my friends (real life and MFP), The Biggest Loser show, and lately is my super fit date. LOL

I'm also looking for some advice. Honestly, I've plateaued for about 2-3 month now, 133 lb ups and down, very frustrating. Anyone knows why? Well at least I'm maintaining, I guess? The scale finally moved this morning, so we'll see!

xo -Claire

I am not sure the pictures linked right.

And as for the plateau, I'm guessing its because you're well below the top end of your healthy weight range, which is 159.

I've seen these floating around the last few days, you can use them calculate your body fat, and then from there, find your ideal weight based on what you want your body fat to be.

I know my ideal weight is 140 for 20% body fat, which is under the healthy range and into the athletic range. And I'm only 5'5"

You look great, I can't imagine you losing 10 more pounds. Maybe your body is where it is supposed to be. Good luck, but you look fabulous.

You look wonderful! Very inspirational! I am 154# now and am working on weighing 145, maybe 135 someday. Thanks for posting! You look great now I don't think you need to lose any weight. Maybe your body feels healthy at 133 and thats why it stays there. However, I hate when people tell me what to do so..... You look awesome and lots of luck to you!

    1) You look fantastic- absolutely fantastic!
    2) Maybe you don't have any more to lose?! I would try to get a Bod pod test if you can to check your body fat percentage (or even calipers if you haven't done that). Only way to know where you are at is to for sure know your number!

    Congratulations!!!
  • WOW!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!

Even at 5'7, she's pretty obviously fine boned. While I think she looked great at 154, she looks great at 133 too.
I think the plateau is your body telling you this is the lowest that you can go while staying healthy, and you look fabulous.
  • That's great! I think you look fine, shouldn't go clear down to 125 I wouldn't think. I always prefer to be on the low side of my ideal weight too, but looks like you've made it!
  • Thank you! <3
I didn't know about bod pod or calipers before...where can I get a test?

  • Thank you so much for sharing, this is so inspiring! I am on pretty much exactly the same road you just took. I am between 5'6 and 5'7 and I am 155 right now, hope to get to 130. It's great to see the big difference a small(er) loss can have. Sometimes it's discouraging when you don't have a ton to lose and therefore aren't losing as fast as some of the people that have more to lose. Thanks for your post!
