You ladies are AMAZING!!! :drinker:
Sounds like we all made it through the first week (even with a few slips!) and are starting week 2. I was great yesterday and there's even a lava crunch cake (weakness!!) in my fridge that I didn't touch. Week 2: Bring it on!!
If anyone wants to join the challenge, come on in, the water's fine!!0 -
i want to join your challenge, I was good for about 2-3 weeks, this week I got TOM and was sugar addict, and will start tomorrow again, this is just perfect for my, I am such excuse, I used to steal my kids cookies and candy, couldn't go throughout the day withouth eating 1/2 lb anything sweet :explode:0

Well, I just finished week 2 of limiting my sugars and had another GREAT week! I lost 3.3 lbs for a total of right at 6 lbs in 2 weeks with the cutting back on sugars. That tells me it is totally worth it.
Now, don't think I have gone without but I will tell you that I am really looking at eating more natural items and making sure that sugars aren't in the first 4-5 ingredients (prefer to the 5th but sometimes okay to have as 4th). I have allowed a few sweets here and there just to keep me sane but I'm totally beyond the cravings! WOO HOO!
Hope you are all doing as well!0 -
I can give up everything but gum.....0

I can give up everything but gum.....
will I get there?
Keep reminding myself that 3 years ago I weighed 46 pounds more than I do now>>>>>>>>>>>0 -
Okay so does this challenge also apply to artificial sweeteners? Let me know so I can get on board......0

I shall be up for this after easter, if I find I am unable to stick to a single treat item per day (without binge eating a whole mound).
I have a box packed with chocolate mini eggs. My aim is to have no more than 4 a day, total of 160 calories, or the equivalent calories in an ice cream or dessert.0 -
The last time I did this, I spent a whole year without added sugars, and without artificial sweeteners except in my protein drinks... felt so much better. I do usually like to avoid added sugars.. yeah, I'll start tomorrow since today I totally ate 2 of those reeses BIG CUPs.
Shouldn't be anything I have to worry about in my fridge except condiments! Time to get out the spicy brown mustard.0 -
I have been doing this for 3 weeks...no sugar. I feel good and have lots of energy. I have not had ANY except natural in apples & strawberries. It's not as hard as I thought.0

Yes count me in 7 days no sugar 👊👊ðŸ‘ðŸ‘0

I wish I had your willpower ladies....can't do it :ohwell:0

I have such a sweet tooth and I've been eating terribly the last few days, so I am issuing a challenge to myself and anyone else who wants to join me: no sweets for a full week. I've gone through periods before when I haven't craved sweets, but it usually takes me about 4 or 5 days to detox off of sugar before the intense cravings go away. Once they do, though, I feel great!! So I am starting with one week to see if I can do it... then maybe a second week (or more!).
"No sweets" for me means no refined sugars in the first few ingredients listed-- I'm not going to say no sugar period because there are things I eat (like kashi go lean crunch) that have sugar in them, but I don't eat them primarily for the sweetness. I am a cookie addict, so for me, I mean no cookies, brownies, candy, etc. "No sweets" might mean something different for you, but it should be a challenge. So who's with me?
I will try! Such a hard hard thing for me to give up. Umm....did you go to Tulum??? I just went to Playa Del Carmen a few weeks ago! We have pretty close to the same tracker picture! How cool!0 -

hi I have a sweet tooth too but restricting any kind of food type that you dont have to apart from allergy reasons can lead to craving what you have restricted and then gettin into the cheating/binge cycle,, go easy on yourselves if you want a sweet hit,, we are genetically progammed to enjoy sweetness, our taste buds confirm this! Sample not sabotage works for me,, I dont wantto feel left out of any taste expereince but portion control and sampling rather than a full portion keeps those cravings at bay.0

I've just finished the entire LENT without any snacks whatsover. Looking forward to tomorrow when I can indulge on an easter egg. Yummy0

I have been doing this for a few days now. On day 3. I am just staying away from added sugars and sweets. When I am craving something sweet I go eat a piece of orange or a strawberry. I am just trying to stay within the 25g of sugar mfp has me at. So hard, but worth it, I think!0

Ah, boo. I totally forgot and ate some gulab jamun! They were SO GOOD. Right now I'm enjoying an Izze, too, which could be better, but it could be worse. Ahh, I'll have to remind myself before sitting down to eat.0

Ok I'm on day 2 and I NEED motivation.......0
-
I'm on day 2 as well. I was so proud of myself for making it through yesterday. I want that proud feeling again today.0

Thanks for the inspiration! I'm going to cut out sweets now too (I had way too much this weekend while decorating gingerbread hosues). My biggest challenge with be avoiding the delicious treats set out by the secretaries at my office0
