Stand on ONE leg. TOUCH your toes. Do this 10 times. SWITCH legs. DO three sets. DONE.

Just did this. WOW. Glad I read this post.

I have a recumbent bike. It tones well on high resistance.

You'll see improvement within a month. I BET YOU!

No weights no fuss. Just gotta do it 3 times a week. Don't do it back to back or you will strain those hammy's. Watch your butt and thighs shrink.

Wow... just tried this and totally surprised how BAD my balance is. Thanks for sharing.

    My 10cents.

Just tried this. I kept losing balance and took a long time, but it was fun!
If I see improvement within a month, then that's fabulous. :)

wow thanks girls some fab suggestions, loving the standing on one leg thing!

I keep seeing people mention the 30 day shred and gillian but I don't think we have that in the UK, but I bet I can google it and get it on amazon, I'm guessing they are dvd's yeah?

I feel lots more motivated already :-)

Hi Hunni, 30 day shred in uk :)

    I got mine from play.com

    There's a few of Jillian's on there.

Free post and packing as well xx

if you notice olympic swimmers, you'll see they are a little soft too. your body keeps a layer of fat to help you stay warm in the water even if its a heated pool, so as long as you continue to swim youre going to have some of that. if you want to continue to swim but focus more on your legs, use a kickboard to do your laps

eh, I swam in college and this wasn't always true. I actually lost a good 30 pounds one year while swimming and my times got worse. The reason some swimmers are a little soft is because they can be, and in some cases it actually helps. I was considered "the fattest girl on the team" yet I was also "the fastest girl on the team". It wasn't keeping me fat, I just ate A TON and could be a little tubby and still be fast.

I have to tell you that I am into gardening - especially with the beautiful spring weather here in NC. I worked this weekend, pull out weeks, mowing the lawn, raking. Lots of bending and pulling and I can feel it through the back of my legs and bum. Even my back muscles feel like they've worked out. I belong to a gym and love it but wanted to say that yard work/gardening has really been FANTASTIC for legs/backside and you get to be outside - bonus! Also biking with my 12 year old is fun and works those lower muscles.
