What makes you feel good?

I have found that a lot of people unhappy with their weight are also more prone to get mired in negativity. It's known that negative thought patterns can turn into habits in our minds, causing us to see the negative before the positive, and get discouraged more easily. That's why I try to avoid negative thoughts and see things either objectively or positively.
Focusing on what makes you feel good and happy is a good way to slowly gear your brain more toward the positive. Awareness of your thought patterns will help you with staying focused on your goals and resisting discouragement. That's why I'm posting this in Motivation and Support. ;P
So if anyone else wants to try that too, here's a suggestion: post here with one or more things that make you feel good/happy. I guess my only rule would be anything self-destructive (including really unhealthy food, like deep fried pizza... lol) should be left out even if you see it as something that makes you feel good.
I'll start it off...
Bubble baths with high quality bath products
Filling a room with bright sunlight
Laying on the couch reading a good book
Being satisfied by a meal that I know is 100% healthy for me

I often forget how much I enjoy some of my favorite activities until I do them again. It's good to keep in mind when I'm feeling down and don't wanna do anything. I'm gonna tell myself, "I think that, but then when I do X, I will remember how awesome it is." =D0 -

Riding my bike!
I love it so much and hate driving so I am now taking my bike everywhere and driving way less! Great for my health, my wallet, and the environment. I get about an hour's worth of riding just doing errands every day and I have my two little ones with me. (if anyone is interested: www.tinyhelmetsbigbikes.com)0 -

I just worked out and while it was only for 30 minutes I was dripping with sweat. I felt good that I had pushed myself. Then I took a cool shower and a non-fat iced coffee from Sbux. And a really nice/cute guy took my order. :-)0

Yuss! That is an ideal day IMO. When you feel good, you feel like you did your best and your body is definitely going to benefit, and you also get to treat yourself in more ways than one. Ha!
Today I squeezed in a short Tai Chi session (my first time in a year or so) before work and I feel great. I think it's going to make my whole day good. Later, I want to take a bike ride! That will be my feel-good goal for the day.0 -
This is kind of sad, but as I was reading these, I couldn't help but wonder if I have anything that makes me feel good......I put myself under so much stress relaxing and having funso when I give myself permission to relax and enjoy it, I enjoy:
1. watching a good movie
2. playing with my granddaughters
3. have coffee/lunch with a good friend
4. the feeling I get after I workout
5. going to bed knowing I ate healthy and exercised
6. doing something to add to the ambience of my home
7. doing something for someone and especially if it is truly appreciated
I think I need to do some journaling about all of this :ohwell: Thank you for making me face this and look more deeply into this. I wish you all a day of doing SOMETHING you TRULY enjoy and that makes you feel better! hugs to all, Dyanna0 -

You're welcome! This was kind of my goal! We can let our happiness slip out of grasp without even realizing it until we're totally overwhelmed. Definitely journal it. Hey, even try to do something, no matter how small, to make yourself feel good today! The point is that your happiness is most important! =D0 -
Air conditioning. Unfortunately, ours is crap.
A good book.
A good game.
Being alone.

I foresee the life of a crazy old cat lady in my future. I hope my cat lady apartment has AC. :laugh:0 -
