unwritten rules?

  • There are some women who have stated, in no uncertain terms, that they absolutely will not be friends with any men on this site. (I've never seen a man say anything similar.)

One profile I read said something like, "Sorry, I don't accept friend requests from men. This is my GIRLFRIEND ZONE" (yes, in capital letters).

So, I think it's fair to say that some women on this site have an unwritten rule about that. But what you do is entirely up to you.

Mine says ""I accept girl request only, NOT cause I like the vadge either. So boys.. don't even try it.""... its pretty funny the comments I get about it.

No. There is no sexual apartheid on MFP.

You are free to add or delete whoever you wish. If you want to just add women do that. If you just want to add men do that. If you just want to add lesbian killer ninjas then...you might be on the wrong forum.

I just laughed really hard. Thanks for that.

is it an unwritten rule that men and women are not friends on here?

not at all. it's like RL - you can have both men and women friends
    totally up to you...

    ETA:
No, it is an explicitly stated rule archived deep in the belly of MFP's S&M dungeon.

Wait...where is this dungeon?

I've seen it once. All I can say is that you have to venture through a labyrinth of forum rooms and subcategories. You must battle a Minotaur in order to gain access through the locked threads.

I would definitely say it is not an unwritten rule here. I have both men and women on my friends list. Probably more women due to the fact there seems to be more of us on this site though.

same here! but i did notice some women will refuse men as friends!

I have both on mine! I like the mixture and the goofiness I get from all my friends, plus some of them on both sides are nice "eye candy"!

I think that most of us guys are a bit more cautious about sending a FR to random women. It is a way to avoid being seen as "That creepy dude"... That being said, I have both in my list.
