How many calories do you eat?

2700 - 3000 or as many as I can eat. Burn so many calories exercising I have a hard time eating them back.0

I do eat a lot of those frozen so called healthy meals that are extremely high in sodium, could be the reason I don't stay full long?
I truly believe that's why you are so hungry. You should be eating "whole" foods, not that overly-processed stuff from the freezer.
Shop the perimeter of your store. Buy vegetables and fruits and lean meats and fish. Cook real food for yourself and you will stay fuller longer.
Food you "cook" is going to keep you much more satisfied than food you "heat up."0 -

Im 5'7 and 238 pounds. Granted I am still in repair mode so I havent seen the losses yet, but I feel much better inside right now

Try to add fruits and veggies into your diet. This will leave you feeling fuller for the lowest calorie vaules. If you don't particularly like vegetables, then you can combine them with foods you do like. I tend to eat my broccoli with a thin crust pizza. I do popcorn chicken but mixed in salad with lowfat dressing. Eating fruits and vegetables give me the biggest bang for fullness. I also eat fiber bars. Friend me and you can see my food journal and ask more questions. I eat 1580 or 1560 a day, and more on exercise days.0

I eat 1700-1900 cals per day, sometimes more on workout days. MFP had me at 1720 to lose a pound per week, but i upped my cals so I'm set to lose only 1/2 pound a week. I usually come under by 200 or more anyway. I just hate seeing the red numbers, and it was stressing me out.0

My MFP is set to lose a pound a week so my BMR is 2300 a day, I am currently eating 3200 calories a day (I eat back 85-90% of my exercise calories per my Polar FT60 Heart rate monitor) and am avg. a pound a week loss...0

I just go by mfp, I haven't done any other calculators out there yet. I'm 162lbs and 5'6'' and set at losing 1lb a week, gives me 1380 cals on normal days, exercise days I earn 300-500 more.
You can do it! you'll figure it out soon! lots of fresh fruits and veggies and lean meat. I'm still working on this too, personally, its a process.0 -
Target is 1970 a day when balancing intake and exercise. Most days I am a little under, some days I am a little over. What has helped, is that I have not denied myself any of my normal foods, which could you some improvement there but that is another battle to work on. I have lost about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds a week so far. Clothes are fitting again. You can do it, hang in there. Drink water on a regular basis to help fight hunger signals. Plus in the evening, after I have logged in supper, if I got some room to spare on the net calorie balance - a couple Hershey kisses with cold non-fat milk makes it all worth while.
Oh, when setting goals I shoot for smaller, short term goals and then roll them into a continuing winning situation. Like losing 10 pounds in 10 weeks. You can continually reset goals, build confidence and satisfaction.0 -
My daily calorie allowance is 1480. I am usually pretty good about staying within it. However, all the calories I earn from exercise, I allow myself to eat them back. I love to eat too so there's no shame in eating back your exercise!!0

I just joined this group too. My TDEE - 15% has me eating 1765 calories per day. I want to lose fat and build muscle so adding the proper fuel to the fire makes me a fat burning machine!!!!! I plan to be a fit 54 yr old!!! Yeah Baby!!!0 -
1600-1900 to lose weight
1900-2300 to maintain
2300+ when I don't give a crap... but then I have to spend the next couple weeks back down at 1600 again0 -
I am low carb and don't count calories but never seem to go over anyways, I eat when I am hungry but I eat quality foods so the calories don't stack up as fast.0

I am trying to cut calories so my sister suggested I try to drink 1 more glass of water.It is not easy but when I think I am hungry i drink a glass of water first and then if I am still hungry i try to eat something healty. This seems to be working for me most of the time. but when it doesn't I eat more protein or some kind of veggies or fruit.0

I started at 332 lbs and MFP calculated 1750 calories for me. I'm down 46 lbs and my calories are now 1520 without exercise. I don't usually eat my exercise calories on a daily basis and will instead use them for the meal a week I allow myself where I don't worry about calories. That's IF I exercise.0

I started out eating 1200 calories and lost about 40 pounds. However, that doesn't work for me anymore. I am now eating 1600-1700 and am still losing weight. My MFP BMR is supposed to be at 1400.0

My limit is 1690, and sometimes I eat more (when exercising) and sometimes I eat less. If you find that you're hungry try filling up on vegetables. I ate a ton of food today and only made it to 1450 calories!0

Just an FYI for you. After 4 weeks of "resetting" and a 2 pound gain in the process, I have finally gotten movement on the scale downwards.. and its a big drop so far:)0
