I would like to know the truth! It seems that I can't watch a movie without scenes of nude women in it. It's like (****, cover your eyes)....I hate it....it's embarressing. I mean, I've no doubt my husband loves me with all his heart. He's so good to me. I'm so lucky. But........do men actually get aroused by these scenes even when watching with your wives/s.o.? I mean, my husband isn't gonna "tell me", but I'm not stupid, it's not like their showing "fat" naked women. But can men keep their "senses" together while watching a movie with their wives or s.o.? I'm only asking when your watching with your wife/s.o. I already know the answer if you watch it alone.
And you know what? Why is it ok to show women nude, but they never show men???? They only seem to show their butts. That's it...What's up with that?

i'm a happily married straight woman. personally i would rather see full female frontal nudity, than full frontal male nudity. (how to say this tackfully) boy junk is funny. who wants to look at that? sorry guys.0
-
I think I'll have to agree with kmatanzas on this one. Guys do like boobs. To take this a little further though, and flip the question slightly, do you girls want to see a dude's junk in a movie? I think it's probably a supply and demand thing at work here. Enough guys like seeing boobs to make it worthwhile showing them in movies, but I'm not sure there'd be enough women who'd want to see the man parts to warrant pulling it out on the big screen. I know Kevin Bacon has showed it a few times, there's gotta be others, oh yeah, I think the guy in Into The Wild shows his package while he's floating down a river.
As to watching movies with female nudity in them with one's wife, I don't really understand what you mean by "keep their "senses" together". If you're wondering if a guy starts lusting for the actress and forgets about his wife, I don't think so, but there may be some who do. It'll more than likely be a case by case thing. I don't think we could generalize this. Good idea to keep the communication lines open about this and respect each other's feelings on it. I don't only mean that men should respect their wives' opinions here, women need to respect and understand the way guys are built too and be sensitive about that too. Don't try to make your man feel like an idiot about this, that's not gonna help. Definitely let him know you're not comfortable with it and ask him to respect that. But your man's not a jerk for getting aroused by the female body, and it doesn't mean he's cheating on you or doesn't find you as attractive as the actress or anything like that. Honestly, not a lot of thought goes into it, arousal is pretty instinctual.0 -

Well...what I meant by this is I guess, do men get aroused..even though they are in love with their wives and the wife is sitting there with them. I know my husband will turn his head at an attractive woman....that's just normal....I mean, I don't think twice to look at a guy when a guy in a military uniform passes me, or a guy in a hard hat working outside...that's the truth.....but I don't get aroused. I just want to know if men get aroused or is it just "wow......wow" and that's it. I mean, let me give you a woman's perspective...or mine.....if I see a naked man on the screen (frontal), of course it does nothing for me but kinda like...."oh my gosh!" type reaction. But, if a man is making love to a woman and is passionate and grabs the woman's face and kisses her passionately.....then THAT gets me feeling like ".....ohhhhhhhhhhhhh wowwwwwwww....I'm in love with this guy!!" type. Nothing to do with the girl, just the passion of a man...and he doesn't have to be nude (well, the shirt off helps)...lol So, getting back to my question.......do men get aroused..even though they are in love with their wives and the wife is sitting there with them.

I think we all get a little hot and bothered when watching a steamy love scene. Especially (for women) if there's an emotional componant to it.
it doesn't mean that we want the man in the scene more than we want our husbands. Sometimes it feels that way but really what it is, is we want to be the object of passion. We want our husbands to be as passionate about us as the man on screen is about his girl.
At least, that's how i feel. I would never say "i'd rather be with brad pitt" but I might think "why can't X throw me up against a wall like that?":blushing:
you know?
One of my favorite quotes is from the book High Fidelity. and because I love it so much, I'll go to great lengths to actually type the whole damn thing here: (for those of you who dont' know High Fidelity, it's writen from a man's perspective, after a breakup:)
(quote)
Women get it wrong when they complain about media images of women. Men understand that not everyone has Bardot's breasts, or Jamie Lee Curtis's neck, or Cindy Crawford's bottom, and we don't mind at all. Obviously we'd take Kim Basinger over Phyllis Diller, just as women would take Keanu Reeves over Sergeant Bilko, but it's not the body that's important, it's the level of abasement. We worked out very quickly that Bond girls were out of our league, but the realization that women don't ever look at us the way Ursula Andress looked at Sean Connery, or even in the way that Doris Day looked at Rock Hudson, was much slower to arrive, for most of us. In my case, I'm not at all sure that it ever did.
I'm beginning to get used to the idea that Laura might be the person I spend my life with... But it's much harder to get used to the idea that my little-boy notions of romance, of negilges and candeleit dinners at home and long, smoldering glances, had no basis in reality at all. That's what women ought to get all steamed up about; that's why we can't function properly in relationships. It's not about the cellulite or the crow's feet. It's the....the.... the....disrespect.
(end quote)
and I totally buy it. From a woman's perspective too.0 -
heh, I used to when I was 20, but I have a little more self control now. I mean, I guess there is some amount of physical attraction if the girl is really sexy and seductive, but its not like guys "stand at attention" every time boobs show on the screen. More often then not my wife or I will comment about it, but ahh, I don't see a nude scene and they say "honey, we need to go in the bedroom right now!" I mean if it was that easy, I imagine my wife would have a collection of Porky's videos when ever she felt the need (she's in her 30's, you know what they say about woman when they hit their 30's, well at least for my wife, it's true) .0
