  • I miss all my cute clothes and my heels. I've never worn a bikini and think it would be awesome if I could although I'm going to have to get a tan cause I have lots o mommy stretch marks from my four kidos. lol

I don't have anything out now, but now that you mention it, I think it's time for the bikini to break out. It will be the one that I wore almost 8 yrs ago after my wedding, and it was the first time in public that i ever wore a bikini. I've actually been even smaller since then, and post baby, but not so much lately! The visual has worked before, maybe it's what it needed now!

I want a 26 inch waist, I cut a piece of red ribbon to that length and every now and then I wrap it around my stomach...when the ends meet I'll know I'm there

Very specifically, this shirt. And if it takes me a year of working hard to fit back into this shirt, it'll be worth it.
(the back is heavily embroidered, and as someone who loves to embroider and admires a good piece, I WILL fit back into it)

I have a pair of black jeans I last wore in 2007. OMG, it hurts to even write that. They are hanging on a hook in my closet where I can see them every day. I'm getting close...

I have the cutest vintage sleeveless leopard print dress that I found at a thrift store. I bought it though I couldn't fit it hoping to one day. I want my arms to look good while wearing it too.

Wow... I never thought of it like this before but I did have a pair of jeans my mum got me that I was given as a gift about 2 years ago. I couldn't even get them past my thighs... anyway, she said she'd return it for 'a larger size' and something in me just felt sickened by that... this is a gift from my mother and I'm going to wear them!!

It took me about a year and a half to get motivated and then 6 months with MFP's help and I can happily say they are now LOOSE on me!! I've went to the point and beyond of what I needed to do to get there.

I now keep them around as a pleasant reminder of where I was, where I am and where I'm gonna be.
  • My tape measurement. When it starts going down around my waist, that'll be the happiest day ever!! :flowerforyou:
  • has anyone used a belt as that piece? Just found one I bought super cheap boxing day and it only goes to the first hole. I'm thinking this couldbe really good in seeing that progress

as part of my journey I was asked? "WHAT IS YOUR WHY?" and make a visual out of it. SO I made a poster out of all the reason I really WANT to be fit and healthy..

I've been keeping a leopard print belt that I bought when I was 16. I want to wear it again!

A Calvin Klein size 4 dress. Because ol' Clavin hasn't been as fogiving in his sizes as other deigners/brands have gotten. I used to be a size 16W - and I'm 5' tall. Once I started getting close, I started going to the store about once a month to try on one of the CK dresses. Today I was able to zip it up. It's still a little snug, but I bought it and it will hang in the closet until I drop these last 5 lbs and it fits perfectly. :o)

I have a mannequin torso that hangs on my bedroom wall. I keep a dress or top on it that I want to wear when I reach my weight loss goal. I change the article of clothing around, just to remind me of all the lovely, new items I will be able to wear when I am thin.

I have a pair of jeans that are hanging on the door of my closet that I am bound and determined to fit into by fall!!! The best motivation for me is that every week I try them on to see where I am at!!! It makes me push myself at the gym knowing those jeans are waiting for me to wear in the fall!!!!

I am actually in the process of crocheting me a bikini...so as of now, yarn is my physical piece of motivation
  • I have ribbons on my door, labeled "Waist", "hips", "neck", "thighs", etc... measurements from about 15 lbs ago, and occasionally I pull it off the door and hold it up to my body and remind myself that I'm not going to just go and give up all this hard work I've put in to get this far!

It's not a "goal" motivation, but more of a... "You got this far, now don't ruin it." type of motivation. xD
  • my favorite pair of jeans that i havent been able to get past my thighs in three years! those are my main motivation, also to be able to wear a bikini without feeling giant would be nice

I have a lot of jeans from high school that i WILL fit into again someday. I also go to the mall and browse at my favorite store (Costa Blanca!) and promise myself a shopping spree when I reach my goal size :D Most of their clothes are not flattering for someone with lovehandles and a tummy like mine haha

Kind of different, but back in college I used to put a little mark on my hand with pen so that i would see it any time I was reaching for a snack or something. A little reminder. Hah. Now I wear a cute ring on my snacking hand. :P

Some size 9 jeans I snagged at a yard sale early last year. LOL I grabbed them for my teenage son, not realizing they were women's jeans. (smartness!)

When I realized my mistake I kept them around and dreamed of getting into them. Back then I jokingly tried them on and couldn't get them past my knees. This morning they were an inch from buttoning. :)

    Almost there!

(which means it's time to find new goal jeans...)

I have a sexy size 4 dress that I wore after reaching my goal. I try it on to make sure it still fits. It helps me maintain.
