I did it!! I went for my 3 month weigh-out at the gym, and I lost 10.5 pounds which qualified me for my membership refund! Laugh if you will, but I really wasn't sure if I was going to make it or not, so I wore my absolute lightest dryfit workout clothes, removed all jewelry and other non-essentials such as socks, bra and panties!!! I even contemplated hacking my hair off... [I'm growing it out to donate it; and it's currently down to my waist.] :laugh:
I'm going to take the $100 and go buy some new running shoes, since the warmer weather is coming. I guess I'm what's considered a fair weather runner, so I have to build myself up every spring, as I get completely out of shape over the winter. I started slowly tonight, and simply walked the 5k loop around the farm property in my neighborhood. So nice to get out and not freeze, and to still have a bit of light on my way home at 8:30pm.
Woohoo - just seen this. Well done you!!!!!!!! I know how nervous you were about not making it - and $100 is certainly a big incentive. Well done and great idea to spend the money on new running shoes.... !!0 -

So far a gain of 2.6 lbs this month. So annoyed at the backwards step, I need to remember why I'm doing this and try to be more consistent. Hope to have at least the 2.6lbs off this week and then one more week to lose more. I need to make this happen and stop hoping it will magically do so on its own.0 -
Hi, my normal weight loss is about 0.5lbs a week but going to give it a go anyway. My NSV is that I bought a pair of jeans for the first time in 5 years just over a month ago and now they feel very baggy - must be doing something right and I have signed up for a 10KM race in May - so looking forward to being fit enough to run it all ...

I lost another 1.3, bringing my total loss for April to 3.2 pounds!! I'm so excited about this! I am determined to lose at least another 1.8 before this month is over! When I lose 1.8, I will be at 10 pounds lost!

NSV: My jeans and pants that I haven't worn in 2 years (since I was training for 1/2 marathon) are back in action and two pairs are already loose! 5 more lbs. and I will be shopping for another size. Can't wait! Only a two sizes to single digits, which is my 2012 goal. Sign me up!

4/15 - 160.5 - Finally some progress!!! NSV - was able to control my eating this week and feel good about it!!! Thank you MFP Friends! 2.5 more pounds to go until the end of the month.
