I'm so ashamed

I hate that food can make me feel so ashamed of myself. I've been on a week long binge and feel like crap. Not because of the kinds of foods, because I've still been good on food choices but more on quantity. I haven't really exercised either because I haven't felt well. Some days I feel as though I have no willpower. At least I haven't gained. I have such a love hate relationship with my body right now. Like, for example, just a week ago I felt great.I fit into a dress I couldn't zip just a few months ago. But then I was in a performance and there's women running around in lingere, I took a picture of myself and saw my tummy poking out and just felt horrible. I feel like I take two steps forward and one step back. I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate it.

Sucks when you feel that way. I've been there too. I still feel that way at times and I'm thin now. Body image stuff just sticks with you sometimes. That little voice can be hard to ignore.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Just start making better choices today...... You can do it!!0 -
You sound just like me a few weeks ago around my birthday. Don't worry, today is a new day and you can get back on track.0

It's you that is choosing to feel ashamed of yourself. You control your thoughts and feelings. You control your actions. If you don't want to feel ashamed, then don't feel ashamed. Find a new way to process what you are doing. Find a new way of looking at food.
I'm sorry that you are going through this. However, you have to break the cycle of the emotional roller coaster. If you can't do it on your own, then get some help.0 -
Sounds like me too Hun. Sometimes I feel great and the scales are showing good numbers and then I catch sight of myself in the mirror and feel like I am back to square one even though I have lost over a stone. Just remember how great you are doing and keep taking baby steps towards your goal x0

don't sweat it; the shame won't do you that much good anyway.
basically, what you want to do is build your new routine. eventually, you just kick into gear.0 -
We all have good days and bad days, but above all the days that you have, good or bad, you love yourself because YOU are the only YOU, you got.
Whether you binge for a week, a day, or make one bad choice, it is what it is. In loving yourself and showing yourself grace and mercy, you can say, "I fall down, but I get up". It isn't the falling, it is the getting up that makes the journey so worth wild.
So commit to yourself that this week, you have nothing to be ashamed of. You are beautifully and wonderfully made and you can get out there and work out, drink plenty of water, and eat things that are both good and good for you.
Don't take unflattering pictures, they don't help. Focus on how good you look and how you want to make that good look GREAT! Half the battle is attitude.
I know where you are coming from, because I have days when I feel like YUCK, but I get in the mirror and do my hair and my makeup and put on something that makes me feel good and I say, you know what, I may have fallen, but I am getting right back up. "The race is not won by the fast or the swift, but by those that endure till the end." And believe me, I am in it to win it.
Yeah, I know these are lots of cliches, but they help me and I hope that they can help you. Good Luck keeping it strong and fierce and sexy!0 -
I can feel this way about lots of things in my life, not just food. It seems for a week or so I'll feel like I have everything in order, everything going right and then I'll be tired one day or stressed or sad and start binging on what I think is comfort foods (mountain dew, chocolate, salt) and even start smoking again. I start feeling horrible about myself and my weight.
I've been working my butt off for 2 weeks now to lose 3 fing lbs and even 2 days of binging is going to ruin that.
But today IS a new day. A day to have a new start. I have ro remind myself that NOTHING IS PERMANENT! Especially those pounds.
Take some deep breaths and keep saying to yourself, healthy choices make me feel better!0 -
i know how you feel. i beleive food has the POWER to make you feel a certain way. when your body is getting used to thealthy eating and then the sabatage comes in, it can totally mess up your smooth opertation (lol), i just had a week long binge myself... luckly i gained 3 pounds this weekend, but this WEKK i gained 6 pounds of unwanted sodium, and food waste that built up. Dont feel too badly, bc today you can change it. Use my Motto: JUST BE GOOD. and say it in a way as if your best friend or sister or someone your close to is telling you in a sassy way. Good luckkk!0
