Does it make any difference if you lift first and follow with cardio, or vice versa?

I've always heard to save cardio for after weights, your body tends to focus its energy on the muscles, so your fat burns easier

    or something

Save the cardio for last so it does not compromise the energy you need for resistance training.

Save the cardio for last so it does not compromise the energy you need for resistance training.

Irrespective of fat burning efficiency, this is a good reason for saving the cardio until later. You want max energy to lift that heavy iron which in turn means you reduce the risk of injury.
