I am looking for some higher protein foods too that aren't too terribly high in calories. So I am bumping this!0

I did a little reading, flax seed is good for both protein and fiber. Try to incorporate it into things.0

Ditto... I do get enough protein but my fiber is bad. One visit to the potty every 3-4 days can't be healthy.
I'll try to find Flaxseed, lentils, and Black Beans today.0 -
beans
broccoli i believe
i like me some raspberries for fiber, mix them with greek yogurt, bam!0 -
Chia seeds are good too for both.0
-
Red kidney beans, black beans, and chick peas..0

Check my diary, I eat a lot of high protein/high fiber foods. That ratio it really important to me.0

Yummy Pinto bean soup!!! Soooo good and high in fiber and low in fat if you dont add much oil!0

Ground or milled flax seeds. Your body cannot process the whole seeds0

Tilapia does real well for this.0

I've been low on fiber lately. just snacked on fiber one 80 calorie honey square cereal. 80 calories for 3/4 cup and it was 10 grams of fiber!! I ate it dry, gonna pack some for my morning snacks at work.0

I have at least one smoothie a day. I use almond milk, frozen unsweetened fruit, 1 cup of fresh spinach, and whey powder. You could easily add chia seeds or flax seeds to this also.0

Black beans are awesome for protein as are eggs, cheese, chicken, fish, tuna, brocolli, peanut butter, almond butter and so forth.0

I love Greek yogurt for protein. Chia seeds have protein and fiber but you have to find a good recipe. I tried them for the first time today and they're like little blobs of flavorless jello. Not much fun. I have a batch in the fridge now that I'm hoping will be more like chocolate tapioca.
Fruits and veggies are a good way to increase fiber. I like having a sliced apple and PB2 (powdered peanut butter, low fat with all the protein) for breakfast or a snack. A lot of berries are in season now too. I've been eating strawberries and blueberries on the way home from work. I like having something to munch in traffic and I eat less for dinner if I'm not starving.0 -
La Tortilla Factory HIgh Fiber Low Carb Tortilla Wraps are an absolute staple for me. 12 grams of fiber for only 80 calories! Also, for my evening snack I have a Blue Bunny Ice Cream which has 3-4 grams hidden in them. Sweet potatoe burgers are a good source between the sweet potatoes and white beans. Of course veggies....veggies....veggies.0

Protein: egg whites (9g/white), tuna (13g/can), whey protein powder/shake (23g protein/100 cal scoop), Fage 0% yogurt (14g/cup)
Fiber - fruits, veggies, high-fiber breads/wraps, oatmeal, nutrigrain low fat eggo waffle, brown rice
Good luck!0 -
I use Quinoa and Chia seeds. Does the trick for me!0

Although fruit can be high in calories, veggies are almost free and have loads of fiber.
Beans are great for both.0 -
try some apples or carrots - good water content, vitamins and lots of fiber.0

I'm typically over my daily requirements for fiber and protein. I get most of my fiber from vegetables, rather than grains. Try having vegetables with every meal, maybe two servings if it won't make you feel overly full. Eggs for breakfast can give you a protein boost (I usually do 1 whole egg, plus two whites). Kashi also makes cereals with as much protein as an egg, so you get that plus around 8 grams of fiber. Beans and legumes are great for getting fiber and protein. Chickpeas are delicious and very versatile. You can toss them in salads, mash them up into hummus, make savory side dishes and just eat them as a snack.0

Quest Protein Bars
Most are 5g fat, 17-20g fiber and 20g protein. And 1g of sugar! The chocolate peanut butter is tastey!!!0 -
First time poster here...HELLO everyone!! Had a bout with diverticulitis so I am taking fiber very seriously...... I have found something that is almost mana form heaven! LOL I have looked at hundreds of cereals and they all are high in calories and not so high in fiber. But here is the powerhouse!!!!!!!!! Kellogg s All Bran Buds. They are kinda like grape nuts but not quite as hard And get this 1/3 cup is only 80 calories and is a whopping 13 grams of fiber. I usually mix it with 1/2 cup of another cereal and 2 packs of Splenda with fiber. Total of about 19 -20 grams of fiber depending on what other cereal you mix it with And oh by the way,m it taste great too not like all bran. Have 2/3 cup for 160 calories adn you hit 26 fibers.0

Yummy Pinto bean soup!!! Soooo good and high in fiber and low in fat if you dont add much oil!
I too love pinto bean soup and also great northern bean soup. They are both delicious and high in fiber and low in fat. They are natural foods, therefore good for the body. I just cook mine all day with lots of water on them and add a ham hock for flavor and b/c my husband likes to pick the meat off it with his beans. I've never heard of adding oil to beans0 -

I make mine by frying onions and garlic with just a bit of olive oil spray and then adding the beans and boiling until tender. Then a take a cup of the cooked beans and puree it and pour it back into the pot. Season with lots of cumin, a bit of coriander powder, dash of black salt, lime and black pepper...SO NUMMY!0 -
