I am also re-starting 30 ds again. I am sorry that you had hurt yourself. I also need lots of motivation to get started again. I was on day 7, but I was out of work healing from surgery and since coming back to work, I need to find the time. But, I have lots of motivation.

I'm almost done with Level 2 but so having a hard time sticking with it. I swear I mentally talk myself out of it all the time. Only 3 more days of Lv 2 and then on to 3. I think half the problem is that I'm not seeing much change. :( Although my strength has increased a ton. IDK Just discouraged.

I started 30ds yesterday, and am soooo sore, I can barely move, but going to do it again today. I refuse to give up. I'm so excited to see what the measuring tape shows when I'm done.

I keep saying I am going to restart the 30ds fell off track easter weekened and just havent been able to push myself into making time for it. Tonight there are no excuses (yet) so I am going to force myself to push play and do the work out.... that first step is the hardest.

You can do it! The first 5 days are the worst - after that you don't feel the soreness, you just start to feel stronger. Go through to the end! It is worth it. I promise. 30DS was the first thing I started and completed entirely. Now I do the levels for fun in addition to other workouts.

I know exactly how you're feeling! I lost 23 lbs last February into August, mostly doing WW and felt really good about myself for the first time in years. Since I'm usually way more active in the summer, I didn't really add much exercise into my routine. And with 2 young kids, I run around *plenty* throughout the day. I was doing fairly well at maintaining my weight loss....until the holidays! I quit counting points as a "reward" to myself and allowed myself to eat all the holiday goodies that came my way. Over the last 2-3 months, I've managed to gain 10 of the 23 lbs I lost back and I am not a happy camper!!! I just joined myfitnesspal yesterday and started the 30 day shred. I'm feeling it today!! It's hard for me, even on level 1, and I can see how one could lose and tone up very quickly on by doing this video. But I think it's a great workout and love that it's only 20-30 mins. It's a bad *kitten* 20-30 mins but hey, noone ever said it would be easy. Keep up the good work! You can do this!

Hang in there, you'll see results if you stick with it. It really is a mental thing. I seem to notice as I go through the Levels that there are phases I hit as I progress.

Day 1 - That was really hard, I'm not sure I can do this.

Day 2 - Crap, I don't really want to do this but I'll try.

Day 3 - Huh, that wasn't too bad, I did all the moves.

Days 4-6 - Shut the F*** up Jillian! Is that all you got? You're not going to beat me.

    Days 6-10 - Bring it b****!

HAHA! Oh my gosh, I'm on Day 8 and I swear I had every one of those thoughts along the way. I have a Facebook weightloss group, and last week I was posting on there that I wanted to choke Jillian...then yesterday I was posting a motivational quote from her.
  • Not sure why the quote got messed up...

I have done it a few times myself. My favorite way of doing the 30 DS is to do a different level everyday. I KNOW that is not how it is intended to be done technically but I felt like my body didnt get as much out of it doing the same workout for 10 days. The first time I did it, I did it right- 10 days on each level. The second time I did about 1 week at level 1 and then 2 on level 2 and finished up with level 3. The 3rd time I did 30 days was a different level everyday. I felt like I got the best workout that month! I will say that my joints and knees never hurt anymore and haven't since about 3 weeks into the video my first go around with it which was last fall. I still do the video a few times a week every single week in addition to dancing and walking and biking....the video alone is a great workout though!
