For INSANITY users..

I'm into Week 4 here and I have to say...my legs are sore every single day! It's a good sore, but sore nonetheless. Does anyone else feel this? It's always a bear to start the next workout because my legs/quads never stop hurting!!!

I haven't started yet. I suggest you ask this on the Fitness board. You will probably get more replies there, esp if you edit your title to specify that you are asking about soreness.

Have you tried stretching a little more after the stretching in video? Sometimes that helped me.

You can try adding more protein and potassium to your diet as well as doing more stretching. That should help with some of the soreness. This method has been effective for me during P90X2. Also, are you eating enough so your body can repair? How many calories are you eating? If you don't eat enough, your body will chose between repairing the muscles or maintain normal body functions. I have yet to see a person need less than 1800 calories for these programs and many 2400+

    L-Glutamine powder really helps IMO.

The soreness went away when I started drinking protein shakes post workout. Make sure you are getting some lean protein in :)

Stretch before and after. Add more protein into your diet, and drink lots of water. Insanity is hard, it really doesnt get any easier, you adapt to the work outs, but they never become easy.( which is why its awesome!) Especially when you hit the 2nd month.

What kind of shoes do you have? When I bought better shoes I noticed my legs didn't hurt as much and I felt lighter on my feet.

After the first two days I could barely walk my calf muscles were so sore and tight like nothing I had felt before but as I kept with it my body adjusted to all the jumping. I am into my last two weeks and have never felt any more muscle soreness at all. I did notice some soreness once I started into the second month with all the added pushups I guess but that too went away with time. I really think it is just new to your body and by sticking with it your body will grow and adjust.

    Keep it up!
