Oh my, yes! TOM is a jerk! I always want salty salty foods with chocolate. I try to do everything in moderation. Log it, burn off the calories if you go over, drink lots of water, and forgive yourself. And stay away from the wheat, silly! I have food allergies to mangos and sweet potatoes and it tastes good, but it's never worth it to me! What kind of wheat food are you craving? Maybe you can find a better alternative?0

i know how you feel... that time sucks like a vaccume from hell... i crave chocolate like crazy this last month i was not able to indulge due to health issues which made it worse... i cant offer much advice just support, the cravings will pass in time and you are strong enough to resist. and you will feel a little empowered knowing you over came something, even if it was a candy bar.0

ugh, for me too. I always gain 2 pounds (which goes away the week after and usually a little extra). I try and stay active. I'll Take my little one for a walk, start a project, like updating the baby book or cleaning out the closets. Food cravings, well, I try to keep the worst offenders out of the house and I don't go out to eat at all because I know I'll blow it big time so I tell myself if I get through the week without going out then at the end of the week (well 4 days anyway) I can have an Italian ice cream. Usually keeps me motivated and I plan for it I keep the cals down and work out so I can fit my ice cream cals in at the end of the week. Good luck. I hate TOM0

I try to eat a lot of iron, since that is the main thing I feel myself losing. I get some chocolate, but only eat a little, then give the rest to my husband, who efficiently eliminates temptation. So my splurge is really red meat... I freakin love it, but it's not that super awesome for you, so I try to only give in a lot that week.0

Thanks everyone for the advice... I crave anything that is made of wheat:- pies, macaroni casserole, roti, pastry, bread and cheese or butter, anything that is wheat flour based... I only crave a little chocolate but I crave chocolate biscuits more than plain chocolate...
Taking iron makes the situation worse... it get me more constipated
I would deliberately go out of my way to buy things that have wheat, trying to convince myself that I am buying it for my children and my darling husband... lol
I usually have some control but at this time, everything goes haywire: -
somehow the things with wheat seem to be calling my name, telling me to eat it, because I know that I want to, I need to....

I like this advice as well as the others0 -
Have you tried any of the corn or rice pastas? A friend of mine is allergic to wheat/gluten/chocolate/corn syrup (everything) and she really loves them! I have had the corn spaghetti at her house and it tasted the same to me. If you make your own pie, you can use bean/rice/other flours I'm forgetting (lol) to make the crusts. I would just try to stay away from pie though if ya can't control your portions (ah hem... Me)0

I factor in one or two treats when I get mine so I don't feel so deprived. I don't have food allergies though so I don't have an advice on that.0

good luck. i too cannot offer too much advice but just keep in mind what it does to you when you eat it.
i have cravings all the time for foods i have intolerances too. i just had some spaghetti sauce (a few tablespoons) and i can't do tomatoes, so my bladder with definitely hate me later. you are only human, just try the best you can!
what helps me is knowing how much better i will feel when i am going through pain from eating something my body can't take, it gets a little easier as the days go by.
best of luck to you!
TOM just started for me today, such a *****!0 -
