Have you tried roasting it with some olive oil and garlic? It's the only thing that got me to change my mind about broccoli and now I love it!0
-
I have a crockpot recipe where you cook it with chicken, cheese and crinkled potato chips (or frenchs fried onions). It's pretty tastey...If you want the recipe, send me a message and I'll look it up for you!0

When making a smoothie, throw it in with some strong flavoured fruits. Works wonders to hide the taste until you get use to it.0
-
I like it steamed with a light sprinkling of Parmesan cheese on it. I think I could eat it that way every day.0
-
Have you tried to oven roast it?0
-
I like it minced in Mac n cheese.0
-
Not a recipe but I steam mine and add Mrs. Dash and butter.
If all else fails maybe try Bolthouse smoothies. I love the green goodness one.0 -
Um... if you don't like broccoli, you can give yours to me. It's my favorite veggie
I'll eat it raw or cooked, plain or seasoned. I like it best plain though, either steamed or raw.0 -
If you don't like broccoli but eat most other veggies you should be ok if you don't eat it0
-
I eat broccoli almost every day! I usually eat it plain but you can easily disguise it. You can steam it and add a bit of olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder, OR mix it with lentils or rice and add some Bragg Liquid Aminos. Just tastes like soy sauce.0

I hate celery so I don't eat it. Life is too short to gag down food you hate. There are plenty of other veggies to eat. :drinker:0
-
I agree on putting it in a smoothie with either apples or bananas
Also, plain non-fat greek yogurt mixed with a little bit of a ranch seasoning packet and not fat milk will make for a great ranch dressing to dip them in0 -
Brocolli is good, now brussel sprouts however are a whole nother story:bigsmile:0
-
I'll only eat it with ranch and cheese. Veggies are only good if I can't taste them.0
-
Broccoli is good. I have always wondered at people that dont like it, but I choose not to judge. This makes me think is there any vegetable that i dont like? I will have to think on that....0
-
If you don't like it, don't eat it. That's what I do, and I'm fairly happy.0

You take the raw, I'll take the steamed.0 -
try it with steamed with a sauce make of olive oil, smoked paprika and garlic.
Heat the oil, and add the garlic when almost crunchy, add the smoked paprika... it is good!!!0 -
You can add broccoli (chopped fine) to salads as well.0

I'm that way about asparagus. I gave it the old college try. It's not doing it for me.
I'm not huge on broccoli, but I'll eat it if it's part of a mixed assortment. Or raw. I like it raw. With ranch dressing. Ranch makes everything edible.0 -

Start off with small doses of it added to other things to get used to it......pasta primavera, mac and cheese, omelettes, mashed potatoes, mixed veggies, etc. You won't taste it so pronouncedly, and will gradually gain a "taste" for it.0 -
I steam it and toss with butter & garlic, my son loves it. You might try adding broccoli slaw to your salads. Of course my favorite way is to cover it in cheese sauce....0

I hate celery, asparagus, and brussel sprouts. Just gross to me. Broccoli, however....yum! I used to hate it then my dad made me try it drenched in cheese. Yeah, thanks Dad. He did pay me to try it though =x I was young though! Now, I love it. I love it raw, steamed with or without cheese. Try steamed broccoli with some cheese sauce. Don't like it? Don't eat it. Try it raw dipped in ranch dressing. Don't like it? well don't eat it! The point is try it different ways. Last night I had steamed broccoli with a few sprays of I can't believe it's not butter. Yum.
There are just some things you won't like though.0 -
The biggest thing about brocolli is if you use frozen or over cooked it will be mushy and tasteless. I try to use fresh and steam it. Microwave is another way to ruin brocolli. Saute it with a little sesame oil is also very good.0
-
You do not have to eat broccoli if you don't like it. Brocolini is similar, and sweeter. You could try that instead. you have lost a lot of weight, - your doing fine.0
-
Broccoli on pizza is win.
Sauteed with garlic and olive oil
Raw
Steamed
Whatever0 -
if you hate it that much, just substitute another veg. maybe asparagus, zuchinni, spinach. Don't force yourself, that gets old quick.0

My whole family loves this recipe. We saw it on an episode of Next Food Network Star last year, and tried it that weekend. It's my favorite way to eat broccoli now.
