I need to add in an extra day of cardio.. but machines bore the heck out of me....

I have a few videos I like and I work with a trainer twice a week doing plyometric circuit training workouts..

I'm just looking for some new ideas!!

My favorite cardio workout is playing pick up sports.. right now it is ultimate frisbee.

How about you??

Heather

Running (I like to keep it simple.....put one foot in front of the other, repeat)

Biking and swimming. The machines also bore me, but I do them. Often I find myself just switching from cardio machine to cardio machine just for variety. I much prefer weights.
  • Running! The elliptical is my second choice.

Running, it's the best calorie burn and you don't need any equipment!

I love running and kickboxing. I started Turbo Fire 4 weeks ago and LOVE it because it's kickboxing.

And running has become SO rewarding now that I've become confident enough to sign up for races! :0)

I did a spinning class once! My butt hurt soooooooo bad after LOL That was a heck of a workout tho. I was just starting back then.. like my 4th day in the gym. My legs were sore for a week!

I wish I could run.. I have asthma, it pretty much prevents running. I am thinking about starting the couch to 5k plan tho, in hopes that it will help me to control my breathing and condition it better. Right now, I can run for about 90 seconds.. then I have to take a 30 or so second break to get my breathing under control. It's really annoying..b/c my fitness levels have so greatly increased. I've dropped 40 lbs and 17% body fat since Thanksgiving.. but still can't run. Fail.

Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism. It is 7 circuits that are each 6 minutes long---total 42 minutes + warm up & cool down. You can do the whole dvd or customize it to how long you want. Definitely a toughie when doing the whole thing.
