I ran for 20 minutes straight without stopping today!! It seems kind of weird to me that this is such a big deal because I used to run several miles at a time, but I stopped running two years ago when I was pregnant and then ended up with a herniated disc, which resulted in surgery in October of 2011, and I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to run again. It took me a week to get over the fear of trying to run 20 minutes straight as my last run was 8 minutes at a time and 20 mins seemed like such a jump, but I DID IT!! And I felt like I actually could have kept going!! What a great feeling! I am now looking forward to keep going and completing the whole program and even beyond 5k!

That's awesome... I'm going to start the c25k program myself.. I do it by music right now.. Every 3rd song I listen to, I run during. (Unless Free bird comes on, Haha!)

Congrats to you! I know exactly how you feel. I think that once you start running 20 minutes it really begins to be more mental than physical. I just completed W8D2 and only two more days till I'm finished. C25K is a GREAT program and I think that anyone who has the determination to run can. If I can at 50...anyone can!

    Enjoy your runs!
