Although we have them I choose to take a 30 min lunch so no time to work out, but when i get off at 230 I head straight to the gym first thing!0

I work for the Scottish government.....it's dead exciting....0

I work for a veterinary pharmaceutical company in Regulatory Affairs. Sounds too exciting for words doesn't it?
I get up at 4:30 a.m., stap on my running shoes and GO!
I pack veggies and a little fruit for snacking throughout the day, and also preplan meals.0 -
I'm a full time "single" mom (referee, financial advisor, counselor, laundress, personal shopper, etc) to a nine year old who is currently dead set on getting his black belt in under 4 years, help run the Mileage Club at my sons school, the significant other of a deployed infantry sergeant, a full time student and I'm training for my first half marathon (TEN DAYS!!).
But I'm paid to be a part time retail photographer.
My son and I try to have a "date night" once or twice a month where we try a new restaurant but most of the time I cook. I also keep powerbars in my purse/glovebox/gym bag/everywhere for both of us since we're constantly headed somewhere. The majority of my exercise is running right now and my mornings are flexible enough to allow for 3 gym days/week.0 -
Currently I work as a engineer for a data storage company. We design, build, and implement data storage facilities for hospitals, schools, governments, big companies...it's probably the best job I have ever had. I really enjoy working here. I bring my lunch.
Most fun job I ever had was working as a curb hop at a local drive in restaurant in the 70's, or working as a timer for the National Hot Rod Association track in Indianapolis in the early 80's. Drag racing is REAL racing.0 -
I'm a receptionist. I have a lovely desk job and as soon as I got this desk job, I packed on 20 lbs. I used to serve at a local food joint, but now I only do it about once a week. I am also on my way to being a full time single mom. I am leaving my SO because I pretty much do everything else on my own so why not live on my own. It is making things worse for me to sit at home. I joined a gym which has funky hours ( 8am-8pm on the weekends and 5am -12am on weekdays) I go to the gym after my daughter is asleep, which is around 8-830.0

I'm stuck in a tiny box all day swiping products across a countertop and listening to people get mad at me over the price of items.
So there's not a lot I can do exercise-wise. I try and walk around when I can so I don't get claustrophobic or too stiff.0 -
I am a 911 operator and dispatcher. I'm also the in house training coordinator and instructor. Long, long days (and nights) of sitting in front of multiple computer screens! Luckily, we do have a kitchen, so I can prepare healthy meals. We even have some workout equipment for down time. I love my job!0

I am an accountant for a public accounting firm. I tend to prepare meals and snacks. There are a few healthy options in the cafeteria. But is expensive for what you get. I tend to bring my own stuff. If i go out, i just make smart choices.0

I'm a project coordinator for a global power management company. I have a desk job, so I bring all my food to work and I walk on my morning, lunch, and afternoon breaks.0

Hey again,
Second post woo hoo! Just wondered what you ladies and gents do for a living and how do you fit your cooking/preparing meals around this. I work as a Close Protection Operative and most on the go all the time and find it really hard to prepare meals and stick to the timings. I'm also in the reserve armed forces and its impossible to take food on training weekends.
Any ideas would be really appreciated
Steve
I'm in the administrative field so I am stuck in an office all day. I usually will prepare my lunches the night before as I prefer to keep my food intake fresh...IE: very little frozen/prepared meals. I typically will cook up some chicken & bring fresh veggies/salads. Luckily we have plenty of fridge and kitchen space in my office so I am able to prepare a good lunch every day.0 -

Business consultant - mostly based from home.
Too handy for the fridge so I plan my shopping and meal planner weekly.
Then I stick to it and don't buy things which are on the naughty list.
