I always go over my protein and carb limit, but am always under my calorie and fat limit. I do about 45 mins of cardio at least 5 days a week and just started lifting weights, I have lost about 11 lbs in 3 weeks so far. Does it matter that my protein is high and carbs are low?? .... and I feal great

From everything I have learned, when working out, especially lifting, you need extra protein to help rebuild muscle. Protein is good! Carbs are also fuel for your body. I am pro-carb tho. You will find a lot of carb haters here. Proceed at your own risk!

Thank you I was thinking the same thing, but have been very unsure about the carbs. The more cardio I do the higher my carb limit goes and I never reach it, only getting close on my days without cardio. If anything I feal like I have more energy than i use to so I might just be one of them carb haters at the moment.

As long as you're eating the right kind of carbs, when you do, you should be okay. Essentially, most of what you eat is broken down into sugars (carbs) to run the body. Try throwing in some good carbs along with the protein. :) And congrats!

I see a doctor that specializes in weight loss and the rule is high protein and low carbs with an emphasis on extra protein just before and after workouts. Your body's way of telling you if you are eating to much protein in a single serving is to have gas, but the body is very tolerant to very high daily totals.

I don't believe there's such a thing as too much protein. It's usually good foods and fills you up/lasts longer than carbs. Speaking of carbs, personally I've reduced my carbs since starting on MFP, but still tend to go over the limit by 1% or 2%.
