Should you rest at least one day?

I've worked out everyday, for 6 days now. I have ran around 30 minutes at 7 mile pace and biked 30 minutes intensely for 6 days straight. I burn around 1200-1600 calories a day. Should I rest a day? or should I continue if I want to?
Will resting affect my weight loss in any way?

Everyone's different with how their body will handle that sort of stress, however rest days are recommended. Allowing your body to recover from exercise will help you in the short and long run.
I was exercising every day for 30 minutes to over an hour each day. I did that for over two months. Needless to say I'm suffering from it now.
So in my opinion- rest on certain days, let your body recover. It is only going to help you. Good luck.0 -
My trainer says you need one day a week for your muscles to recover, so I work out for about 11 hours in 6 days
, I rest on Fridays!
Good luck!!!0 -
From this past Saturday I got it in my head to burn at least 450 calories so I could burn at least 3200 calories this week. After Wednesday and knowing I burned way over 450, I've decided to let Thursday and Friday be rest days (I still had to walk around and stuff but it wasn't super exercise). I know and could feel that I needed the rest so I'm taking these days to recover.0

I take Saturdays off. I figure I'm pretty active on Saturdays anyway so I'm still burning calories, I'm just doing it in an easier and more relaxed way.0

Do what your body tells you to do.
I'd at least rotate workouts so you're working upper body one day, core work the next, and lower body for a couple of days, or something like that. You do want your muscles to have time to recuperate and build.
My "rest days" are usually a vigorous walk, and I'll take a break from walking, elliptical, and biking occasionally and just have a day of core and upper-body work. That's what seems to work for me so far, no ill effects. But I do occasionally get so busy at work I'm forced to take a "day off" from exercise anyway.0 -
I usually have a rest day once a week but not because I want to, life gets in the way!0

My trainer says the same, that rest is important. I usually rest on Sunday, the Lord's day, but that is my preference.0 -
I have an active rest day. I do yoga for stress reduction on that day. It's very inward focused, and feels great after beating myself up all week long.0
