I always wanted to write about that, I needed some time to live myself the things first.
I often read, and see my peeps here being all wacko when it comes to weight gain/ loss, diet, timing, macros, lean mass, protein powders, exercices, rest, clean eating.....

No need to tell I also lost hours of sleep doing researches, double-checking about my macros calculations, my deficit, my surplus, my stuff, my other stuff, my other other stuff about the diet..

I had several nights full of nightmares about a day I would have missed, about a loss I would have been able to optimize, I woke up several times in the middle of the nights, sweating about my macros calculations - I created a spreadshet that was suppose to give me everything I needed to be successfull in my journey.

Now the more I read, the more I dig subjects (hormonal changes, genes adaptation, metabolism update, cell behaviourism, genetical dispositions, human evolution and biological adaptations) and the more I go back to the same point : what the **** ?

In fact, we look for the most complicated things, to miss the most simple evidence : Keep It Simple And Stupid.

First KISS : thermodynamic
The old stuff : calories IN vs calories out.
Per-gram macros repartition is fine-tuning and useless obsession. Keep your nutrients in head, eat more, eat less, sorted.

Second KISS : spare me the clean eating
Appart the transfat, eat what you want, when you want, how much you want

Third KISS : is a day will ruin everything ?
Yes, it took you 24 hours to gain all the lbs you are trying to lose today. Much are feeling bad and guilty after they "binged" - welcome in an unperfect world full of of unperfect humans, maybe you would gain from a binge, maybe not. Guess what ? you'll never have the answer. As long as you remain active...try to enjoy

Fourth KISS : is/ does/ what/ please/ ?
The answer is you already have the answers

Fifth KISS : I did that, I gained
Again, welcome in an unperfect world. You must have read a tons of things that you yourself applied without knowing why. That's your issue there, don't blame your 6th meal of the day or your pre-workout protein shakes

Sixth KISS : carbs/ no carbs
Thermodynamics, spare me the benefits and the fluss about the methods. Yes things work more than others, what are we talking about ? Gaining a week or a couple of hours there and that ? Ain't a contest, no rush

Seventh KISS : spare me the technical words
People have leptine issues, so they eat proteins for their amino-acids and lipolysis against muscle loss and their ghrelin lower so they put protein powders in their shakers during they refeed days.

Understand what you are doing, that would help you to know where to go

Eighth KISS : if it works for you
Don't copy on others.

Ninth KISS : it it doesn't work for you
Instead of googling, work your *kitten* off, again, thermodynamic

Tenth KISS : how do I know if it works ? What is my BF
A lot of people keep doubting about what they are doing, end they end up by updating their diet and workouts three times a week.
The more you are consistent in your routine (which is already perfect) the more you'll see changes.

Don't try to lose weight for losing weight, to make your scale happy - know your goals.

Last KISS : eat for living, don't live for eating
Enjoy the parties, see your friends, have a beer, don't miss the best moments in your Life, being convinced that you are better than them because you stick to your diet. True moments don't last, a couple of lbs there and that do.

Do you go to disneyland for telling you've been there ?
I myself go to Disneyland for hugging Mickey.
