Look, I'll give you this link to a radio station from my neck of the woods. I'm Canadian, in Newfoundland, and we have a radio station called Oz FM that has a really good mix of everything. If you use radios, and you live in Newfoundland, you probably know the connection for your location, if not the website is www.ozfm.com, it's great, and you can listen to everything from Nickelback to Katy Perry to Pitbull and everything in between!!! Enjoy!!!

Family Force Five is my ALLTIME favorite for running(: they get me so pumped!

My favorite line in 'Back off the wall' is "Annihilation of the enemy, wrath pours down when I move my feet." lol... weird, right? Just gets me goin'! (:

    I also love Gavin Degraw "Not over you". In the beginning when it's just the piano going *dun-dun-dun, dun-dun-dun-dun* always makes me run faster (;

    Will Smith's great(:

    I also like Maroon 5

'It takes two' by Rob Base (; an oldie but a goody ;P

    I've got a random taste in music if you can tell(;

Oh, and lastly, I love John Mayer... even though his songs are slower I just love 'em! I think they help keep me at the right pace lol

I was looking for exactly these kind of lists a few months when I wanted to take up jogging. I found a website called Rock My Run where it puts mixes together for you at all kinds of speeds. You get monthly credits to download mixes and your first few are free. Great website and music for working out!

a mix of reggaeton, rap, and rock. including:
    Danza Kuduro - Don Omar
Loco - Original (not well known Panamanian reggaeton guy)
    Taboo- Don Omar
    Wait and Bleed - Slipknot
Bad Company - 5 finger death punch
    Paper Airplane - Rise Against
Not Afraid - Eminem (you can take the suburban white boy out of MIchigan but...)
    Rabbit Run - Eminem
Shipping off to Boston - Dropkick Murphys
on longer runs I'll even throw some salsa on there just to keep a beat.

Ahhh, some wicked good music you guys are listening to.

If I'm doing cardio, i.e. Running, Ellyptical, Biking, ect, I'll definitely have:
    Linkin Park (anything by them!)
You Shook Me All Night Long, AC/DC
    Animal, Neon Trees
    Blackout, Breathe Carolina
Zoot Suit Riot, Cherry Poppin' Daddies
    Step Up, Drowing Pool
    Get Up, Chris Cornell
Eye of the Tiger, Survivor -c'mon... this should be a STAPLE to cardio, right??
    Blitzkrieg Bop, The Ramones
Fuel to the Fire, The Maine
    Open Your Eyes, Snow Patrol
    We Will Rock You, Queen

Now, if I'm doing some stretching or some strength training, I'll listen to:
Beat The Devils Tattoo, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
    Believe, Safety Suit
    The Distance, Cake
    Eleanor Rigby, Godhead
Fuel to the Fire, The Maine
Gives You Hell, All American Rejects
    Hard Sun, Eddie Vedder
    Part of Me, Chris Cornell

... now sometimes I'll listen to Apocolyptica, if I don't want any singing...
And I get in my Andrew Lloyd Weber mood once in a while too....

My latest gym mix definitely has some old music on it. Warm up, Run, Cool down - 25 minutes

"I can dream about you" - Dan Hartman (Streets of Fire)
    "Fighter" - Christina Aguilera
"I tried so hard" - Lincoln Park
    "Trouble" - Pink
"Now that we've found love' - Heavy D
"Prayin' for Daylight" - Rascal Flatts
    "Come Monday" - Jimmy Buffett

Other songs on my ipod for the gym
Most of Pink's greatest hits but I love "There you go"
"Friday I'm in Love" - The Cure
    "Genie in a Bottle" - Christina A
"All that she wants" - Ace of Base
    "Hey Mr Dj" - Zhane
"I will survive" - Gloria Gaynor
    "Bad Medicine" - Bon Jovi
    "Gambler" - Madonna

Wow! here are a lot of good ones I hadn't thought of here...just downloaded 5 of them and have 5 more in the queue!

Something other's I have...I go more for fast paced songs...and ones that I tend to know the words to. I gauge my intensity by the whole...can you sing/can you talk/are you panting...

All Summer Long....Kid Rock...summer's coming motivation
    And We Danced...Hooters
Bohemian Rhapsody...Queen (has a little break in it)
Cruel Summer...Bananarama...another summers on it's way motivator
    I Gotta A Feeling...Blacked Eyed Peas
    I'm Still Standing...Elton John
I'm too Sexy...Right Said Fred (I think)...this one is motivating
    My Sharona...the Knack...I love 80's tunes
Push It ...Salt N Pepper...more motivation...look for this one when I'm feeling weary
    Safety Dance...Men Without Hats...just a great 80's fast beat
Single Ladies...Beyonce...great beat and puts a smile on my face cuz it reminds me of my wedding-moon to Key West
Stand Up...Steel Dragon...just a hard one to drive it home
    Tarzan Boy...Baltimora...just a fun crazy 80's song...
    What I like about you...The Romatics...good fun beat/pace
We All Die Young...Steel Dragon...this is my cool-down...always....love it!

I have a lot of things on my mp3 cuz it really depends on my mood and the pace I want...the morning after Body Attack I need something on the lighter side. But, on days I have to go in the evening after a morning class the day before I like to go with something hard and heavy to push me mixed in with some fast-paced, dance music to keep it quick and light-on-the-feet.

bugnsamsmom I thought I was the only one with REALLY old school music on my phone. I love it! I never would have thought of "I can dream about you" but it came on one day as I started my treadmill work and it was like "WOW" what a great warmup. Plus, for any of your young-uns who have never seen "Streets of Fire", they knew how to make movies in the 80s, contrary to popular belief.
