I am a caretaker for people with disabilities.

    The job isn't weird,

but sometimes the situations I end up in, the conversations I have, and the fact that I actually get paid to have this fun job, is pretty weird.

I teach, coach, and sub on school buses. It can get really weird with the conversations you hear on the school bus!

My job is like that, too! I'm a music therapist, which isn't completely weird, but sometimes really weird (and hilarious) things happen in sessions...

Right now I'm a stay at home mom of 2.. but before this I worked with high-behavioral, disabled adults. They were very intelligent and very manipulative. the group I worked with didn't like getting bad news, or the wrong answer, so I came home with bruises almost everyday.

My last day was shortly after finding out I was pregnant. I got attacked by a male client in the med room, he slammed the door shut when he came in (automatic lock) threw me to the ground, kicked me several times, and bit me in the side, I have teeth mark scars almost a year later...I was on bedrest pretty much the whole pregnancy from that incident.

I have no idea why I stayed as long as Idid.

I know it's an important role in helping to ensure the viability of endangered species. Just out of curiosity, do they use visual aids at all? Does it help a bull to have an image of a doe in front of them?

    That is MESSED UP.

My company has a policy against having female staff around "behavioral" males. It's for both the safety of the staff, and the comfort of the clients (many of whom need role-models).

Of course, it's not an simple thing to do, since this business is dominated by female workers and getting good male staff isn't easy.

Shhhh...animals are hypersensitive to discussions about interspecies arousal. You don't talk about that in mixed company.

Please don't poke fun at my career. It pays well, and I'm very good at what I do.
