Not losing :(

Today makes five weeks that I have been using the MFP app. I have a calorie limit of 1250 and I typically stay under it every day. I do cardio 6 evenings a week (usually the exercise bike in our gym) for 30 minutes. I also do some strength training, I'm not trying to bulk up or anything. Shouldn't I have lost more than 3lbs in five weeks? I'm starting to get really freaking discouraged. My husband has a calorie limit of like, 2100 and he exercises less than I have and is down 14 lbs. We started the same day. I just want to give up

Sounds like you need to up your calories. A safe calorie count shouldn't go under 1200 but if your exercising as well your body needs even more. I am thinking your bodies going into starvation mode so it winds up holding on to any weight th
at you would lose otherwise. I've been on mfp since november and I am typically only losing a lb a week which really is a safe loss so good luck and I hope this helps0 -
Increase your net calorie goal. That sounds like a large deficit and a lot of cardio, which is often not the best combination for weight loss (http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/why-big-caloric-deficits-and-lots-of-activity-can-hurt-fat-loss.html).
Lifting heavy weights will not bulk you up. Check out the book, "The New Rules of Lifting for Women", or other weight lifting programs like Stronglifts 5x5 or Starting Strength.

In a word or four: you're not eating enough!
If you stay UNDER 1250 kcal and do half an hour's worth of cardio 6 days a week, I figure you don't net more than 900 kcal per day, tops. You should be getting at least 1200 kcal net.0
