My BFF just gave me a new gallon sized water jug today, and before I use it, can anyone tell me how I can possibly figure out how much (in volume) it will hold?

if it is a gallon sized I will bet it holds a gallon.0

OMG THIS ^^^
One million times what he said! ...I think.
Maybe two half gallons0 -
I have a pair of 34 inch waist trousers, can someone please tell me what waist size they will fit?0
-
I would have to say, um let me Google it. And I'll get back with an answer. ( Unless your talking about Cups, Table spoons or some other type of measurement.)0
-
About 4 quarts, but if you press the water down in it you might be able to get 8 pints.0

four quarts....eight pints....um...128 ounces....lets see, I can figure out tablespoons, but its gonna take me a minute.....0

What if I shake it gently?
Does a gallon of water weigh less than 4 quarts of water?0 -
1 US gallon = 3.78541178 liters
1 gallon of liquid weighs about 8lbs0 -

That's one million gallons dude - I think you may have overshot a little with your estimate0 -
Okay, then............some simple math problems:
A Gallon is 128 ozs, or 16 cups.
That would be two days worth of water.
Or, if you like to drink by the 1/2 cup, you'd have 32 of 'em.
If you're a real persnickety kind of person, and quite anal about your drinking habits, you could measure by the Tbsp, and as a fluid oz is 2 Tbsp, you could sit there ALLLLL freakin' day and put 128 Tbps of water and or other beverage into your 1 Gallon Size Jug.
Have fun!0 -
lets just go with craptons and leave it at that.0

i dunno, like 5?0

How many craptons does it take to make a buttload?0 -
I am still thinking about the fact that a man used the phrase "BFF".0

Metric Craptons or Imperial Craptons? Either way, you probably can't fit a hobo in there.0 -

How about methane?0 -
Put it on the scale, set the scale to zero, fill it with water and whatever the scale says will be the answer??? Maybe? I never was any good with numbers *so very confused* :sad:0

Can I pee in it?0 -

That's if you fill it with water. If you put juice or Gatorade in, you'll get 16 cups, more or less.0 -

Buy 12 cans of beer, pint size if they have them. Empty enough beer into the water tank to fill it, and drink any partially empty cans to round up. Count the empty cans, then write that figure down for future reference (this is your magic number).
Empty the content of the water tank down your throat and then finish off the remaining cans so you can be eco friendly and recycle them. Pass out in front of the television and annoy your family with snores and gas emissions.
When you're sober again you can either use the number you wrote down if it was pint cans, or do the maths if it wasn't. If you can no longer find the piece of paper you wrote your result down on, repeat the experiment.
Easy :drinker:0 -
More importantly, how much does your purse weight?0
