Agree, agree, agree on the Polar FT4. I have had mine for 4 months and I love it. It is not complicated to use. The set up was simple for this "computer illiterate". I just followed the directions and did just fine.

Just bought the FT4. Got it less than a week ago, use it every time I work out.

I'm obsessed with it. It's also helped me track how much I should be eating (I had been netting around 1000 calories according to my actual burn after Gross to Net Calories calculations!) with a goal of 1500 per day net.

Definitely get one. Polar is a fantastic brand, and the chest strap is super comfortable and accurate!

I also just got the Polar FT7....love it! I actually tells you how many calories you burn, if you're training within your target heart rate and mine also came with the chest strap which I feel makes it more accurate than just one you wear on your wrist. I got mine on Amazon for under $70

Polar FT7 for the win. Looks good enough to wear as a casual/sports watch and does everything you need it to. Chest strap is comfortable... hands down the best HRM I've owned.
