Hi all.
Anyone have any info on IKEA food shop nutritional information? I was there today and stocked up - nothing on the labels, and can't see anything on the internet - there's calorie information for meals eaten in the restaurant, but not for the goodies from the shop. All help appreciated...

I'm in Sweden, so if you tell me what the products were I might be able to find them for you here, give you a translation.0

I have a link too, but of course its all Swedish, but I can give you that too, maybe its not too hard to figure out:
http://www.ikea.com/ms/sv_SE/restaurang.html
Go to "Swedish food market"
Click on the food then "närings"
But now I see that is doesn't give the calorie amount, Just other stuff, how bizarre!
Are you sure there's nothing on the pack?0 -
Yes I'm sure! I love Scandavian food and it's hard for me to get, so I stock up when passing an IKEA store.
Today I bought:
Gratang Jansson
Smorgaskaviar
Pastej krabba
Skarpsill
Sill diil
Sillrom
Tangkorn
On MFP I'm monitoring protein, fat, fibre and calcium as macros for health reasons, so I started by looking for full nutritional information and intended to input it into the database, but I couldn't even find anything as basic as calories, never mind anything else!
Thnaks for your help, and I hope you can find something, otherwise I'll have to have a "cheat day" and eat the whole lot (there's a few of each except the first - which I bought to taste so I could attempt a homemade version) and will probably be horribly sick and never want to taste herring again!0 -
BUMP
somebody on MFP must buy food from IKEA food shop, surely???0 -
Sorry this is all I could find...I have no idea what the Cal/kcal is for them, or why swedes seem so uninterested in listing them!, I just couldn't find them, the only thing I found was what the dill sill is in another basic brand. I would just check the DB here for a basic similar item (there is a lot of Ikea stuff, inc sill, but in onin rather than dill, though I'm sure the cal count would be similar enough., other basis brands to check in the DB would be kalles cavier for the smorgaskavier, and a basic fish roe for the rom. sorry I couldn't help more!
Per 100g
Gratang Jansson
Smorgaskaviar Fat 25/ Prot 9.7/ Carbs 17.3
Pastej krabba Fat 45/ Prot 5.8/ Carbs 8.4
Skarpsill
Sill diil :Fat 9.6g/ Prot 11g/ Carbs 19.3 (((219 cal)))
Sillrom: Fat 2.1/ Prot 11.3/ Carbs 4.5
Tangkorn: Fat 0.16/ Prot 0.31/ Carbs 2.40 -
Thank you so much!
The ingredients are listed on the packaging, so I suppose I could roughly work out the nutritional information - but it is very strange, isn't it?
Any idea why?0 -

No idea, it's really random!, though if it has the "Energy KJ" number (usually its quite large) divide it by 4.1 and you have a reasonable calorie count for the product!...I have no idea why swedes don't have this info online. everything I buy in the super has it on the pack like normal, but to find it online, not a chance! its even weirder that Ikea doesn't have it on their products!0 -
How cool is this site that a Swede can sweep in and help! This just made my day!0

There isn't even KJ information, just nothing! VERY weird... I'll just have to look up vaguely similar products I suppose - fish pate and caviar, and just hope it's not too far out. Oh well, I got some lovely curtains at the same time!0
